  1. Dear god! He has that poor VT-1 sitting over a tube amp! The poor thing is going to cook! Then again, he may have multiples...

The vast majority of complaints you will hear about the Monster is the cost of shipping and the challenge of displaying something of that size. That being said: very, very, few people regret picking one up.
  3. That level of customization would affect my want to play verses display. I would be so reluctant to transform it. They call to me every so often. They want to be handled and transformed. That would snowball into needing multiples and more space for everything! At least for me anyway...
  4. You also need to consider that a lot of people feel into the trap of believing something while knowing that it came from a questionable source. This is why propaganda is so dangerous. At any rate, we'll all find out for sure in 2021.

  6. I think most of us resist the urge to do just that!
  7. I'm guessing that the actual creators are put in a difficult situation at that point. To most people at my work, it's all Robotech to them. They don't know any better and they don't have enough interest to research and learn. To one guy VF-1s are all Jetfire to him. It's easier to just let it go. You can educate them if they start asking more about it.

It feels like too long of a wait. It's better for my finances I suppose... At least for now.
  9. I suspected the KO came with no instructions. Your review feels like it was made for the more casual and curious collectors. It's perfectly fine for that. Those looking for a more inexpensive alternative to Yamato/Arcadia offerings were likely not your target audience. My comments were intended for them. Enjoy the trip down the rabbit hole! I look forward to see your Blue KO review.
  10. Just off the top of my head... The shoulders never seemed properly locked in place in GERWALK or Battroid mode. They appear very low in Battroid and too far back in GERWALK. The leg fins are folder over in GERWALK or Battroid mode. The door behind the head was not properly recessed in Battroid mode which is why you got pressure/rubbing into the paint of your tail fins. The right side cavity filler for Battroid mode is practically falling out in the last 4 minutes of the video. They just stood out to me. After some thought, It could very well be that it is the fault of the transformation instructions of the KO.
  11. Thanks to WaferMouse and rdrunner!
  12. I would skip or ignore the "Bots & Bits" review as the reviewer has next to zero product knowledge. He has the thing totally mis-transformed throughout the entire review. The BensKOllectables is better but neither will compare that KO against an actual Arcadia/Yamato. Anyway here are some MW Member reviews from last October/November (page 21 & 22 of this topic). I'm considering getting one if I can get it on a sale for an office toy. Just gotta be patient. They sold out the other day when it was $9 off.
  13. With the Flashback 2012 VF-4 coming out, I think I only really want a PF VF-1J GBP and a VF-1A Brownie. I'll probably get a VT-1 should they do one though.

Mandarake Complex is basically the entire building. They have different product types on different floors. AmiAmi and Jungle occupy maybe 2 to 3 floors of different buildings. So in the Akihabara Radio Kaikan building above, I believe they occupy the 4th and 5th floor only. The aisle between the shelves are also narrow. Maybe around 60 cm (25 in) which seems common. Not my Video: If you go there and want to buy something, you need to pay for it on that floor before moving to the next floor.
  15. The show seems to be headed that way as well. I'm not sure how they intend to resolve everything.

There are no stripes on the first sleeve. That's someone else's arm!
  17. They finally make it to the basement and find out how screwed they really are.

I think shipping alone was something like $50 to $70 US Dollars when I bought mine. Forum topics are riddled with stories of damaged or lost purchased and the trials of getting a replacement or refund. Well maybe more in the DX YF-19 topic. Long story short: The seller is responsible for making the claim. Getting them to submit a claim is the challenge. And with the nature of this hobby, availability of replacements becomes a big issue as well.
  20. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the next mom arc. Its definitely not a shoe I'd recommend. As for myself, I'm currently about halfway through Gundam X and I started Cyborg 009 (2001) to fill in the time between shows during the current season.
  21. I rarely read the source material, but I agree. Almost everything unique and interesting about the show is largely gone by the end of the 1st season. Whether or not the 2nd season is interesting enough to continue watching we will see. A 3rd season seem a real stretch, but again, we'll see.
  22. The MOSPEADA fans here are extremely hopeful that the Sentinel/T-REX design will be the best Legioss ever. There is yet no Tread announcement, but we have seen some difficult to explain connection points on the Legioss samples. The assumption is that if the Legioss sells well the Tread will follow in the future and use those mysterious connection points. T-REX involvement always seems to bump up the retail price for the end product.
  23. Strictly based on my experience, to most people their job is just a job. Passion and care for a project is solely based on their personal pride or love for their job.
  24. I really don't know why, but it kinda reminds me of this:
  25. I'm assuming you know about screw extractors, but in case you don't: The difficult part will be finding a set small enough for the screws you want to remove.
