  1. Just for the record... Legit US Navy stuff turns pink after a few years in the sun... Well they did for a long time...
  2. No joke, I read this thread for the rants. They amuse me so.

Sprue marks weren't really noticeable to me until the Spartan came out. I could just be that the color made they stand out more.
  4. I wonder if we will ever see this "Missile Set."
  5. Well, you know how it goes, save your money and spend it on something else you like better. As I've been reading these boards for the past three years or so, there really seems to be no "perfect" toy. There's always something to complain and nit-pick about. Tons of production errors in the original show really doesn't help. All the toys seem to cost at least double what we all would like to pay for them. Exchanges and replacement parts are very difficult to get as most of these toys are not meant for sale outside Japan. The list goes on and on. It doesn't seem like any company makes anything without issues. We all just "settle" for now and maybe buy the next marginally better toy series that comes out next. "Bandai" and "Arcadia" do make critical decisions in "their" designs, but the name "T-REX" stands out a bit more to me these days. "T-REX" also seems to mean "add 50% to the retail price." I'm totally getting one of these, but I'm also totally expecting the missiles to fall off all the time like the VF-4G.
  6. Why did you cut your wrist!!??
  7. That thing never had enough screen time to show any kind of weathering.
  8. Based on the knees, I'd guess GERWALK mode.
  9. Enterprise is almost a cursed name for a ship. Far too many of the star-ships named Enterprise never make it to their end of service decommissioning. There is something seriously wrong with movie writers.
  10. This is all interesting, but I'm beginning to wonder how does this all get funded? Socialism? Everyone does their part to ensure the continuation of the Human race propaganda?

(Pre-owned ITEM:B/BOX:B)[Bonus] HI-METAL R - VF-1S Strike Valkyrie (Roy Focker Special) [Tamashii Web Shoten Exclusive](Released) Up on AmiAmi if anyone is interested. 15440 yen!
  12. I have to pick and choose due to limited storage space. Well, it is more because I don't want to overflow into another room. As far as storage units go, there really is a point where the cost of the storage space will exceed the value of the items in it. You could probably get a larger place if you add that $190 towards rent.

This is why I believe the Phalanx will be released before the Tomahawk. We will all get the Phalanx to calm us down as we wait for the Tomahawk. Otherwise some may just skip the Phalanx if the Tomahawk is released first.

I normally try to go with CD Japan, but for some reason, most of my points seem to expire about a week or two before pre-order night for the things I want.

Screw it! I wasn't going to get this but for 9,180 yen, I got me another cubical toy.
  16. so... its like "Smurfy"? I was wondering if any of you sick puppies errr... knowledgeable folk knew what Hikaru's (I'm not too sure what the proper term is) call sign/modex number/pilot number was when he was first assigned to Skull Squadron? I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet and was looking for that specifically on my last watch-through of SDFM. I found it, but I believe it was only ever used once.
  17. I totally misread that the first time! It sounded to me like you were making a joke that your wife once "broke open and leaked" much like her childhood toy did. I was gonna comment about how you generally keep what comes out when that happens to the wife and not so much when a toy does that.
  18. It only makes sense if you are saving on the shipping cost. For me that would be about $40 American. I'm waiting for the VF-1S to go on sale. I want it for a cubical toy.
  19. That thing always reminds me or this for some reason...
  20. Somebody is running out of display space really fast!
  21. How many hours does it save you detailing up a PF version compared to a "standard" release? Movie accuracy aside, as a trainer, wouldn't the correct color be the classic "safety orange"?
  22. So you could get two right shoulder joints. Or more precisely, an inverted right shoulder joint install as the left shoulder joint. Bandai and Arcadia probably need to step up their assembly plant QC a bit more.
  23. Rick has narrow hips, no butt and twiggy legs. Minmay has wider hips than he does. Great review as always.
