Hachette Collection 1/24 VF-1S (subscription collectable)
DewPoint replied to CF18's topic in Model kits
Toothpaste is probably way too course. Novus Plastic Polish or equivalent if you can get it. I've seen a co-worker turn a clear plastic motorcycle visor opaque using toothpaste. -

The reality is that no one can pick out a better gift than you can pick out for yourself. The rest of you that are still waiting for your shipments: Look on the bright side. At least your boxes are less likely to be crushed in shipping from the holiday shipping rush. You would be a lot more upset if your shipping box was crushed, the contents damaged and the seller was unable to replace the item.

Being that it is 2019 (soon to be 2020), I haven't seen any replicas of Kaneda's bike with the proper electric drive. Granted, I haven't been looking that hard to see if anyone has made one though. I'm thinking gas or LNG engine generator with electric drive? The MOSPEADA confuses me. It sounds like an some type of internal combustion engine, but exactly is HBT anyway?

At least 4! Maybe 6! 3 so you can display in each mode, 1 in GBP armor, 1 MISB, and 1 just in-case!

Yes, but how many of us would be willing to pay over 100,000 yen for that? And 27,500 yen per accessory set?

So for me personally, as a kid, I loved Robotech back when it first aired in the US. In Middle school we played the RPG games. Around this time, one of my Brother's friend got a copy of Clash of the Bionoids. We all watched it and loved it much better than Robotech. In High School I read all the Sentinel books and liked them. I even mail-ordered the VHS tape. The music was horrible! Even then, I was disappointed when the video series was cancelled. When I started college, I bought the official US DVD releases of the original Japanese shows that were used to create Robotech. To me, Macross, Southern Cross and MOSPEADA were far better shows in their original form then Robotech. They made far more sense in their original stories and the characters were exponentially more likeable. Following the release of Macross II and Macross Plus, I no longer had any interest in Robotech other then toy nostalgia. As the internet became more accessible, I had no problems acquiring and viewing fan sub of Macross 7, Macross Zero, Macross Frontier and Macross Delta. Again, I liked these shows far more than Robotech. Recently, I watched Shadow Chronicles to see what all the fuss was about. I honestly think that it was marginally better then Sentinels. It didn't surprise me that it was cancelled. It was bad. At this point in my life, I would not pay to watch a Robotech Movie or anything Robotech. I would watch a Robotech Movie free on TV for discussion sake, but again, I would pay to see it.

There are things called an engineered failure point. They protect more expensive components by failing first. But, that would imply that replacement parts would be readily available.

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.
DewPoint replied to Gakken85's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Thanks! I'm still trying to resist, but I always seem to find myself looking for deals on another CF, Spartan and Defender. You're not helping! Incidentally, my used AmiAmi purchase was cheaper and in better condition than my original, new Nippon-Yasan marked up one. No sagging knee and a less beat up box! -

https://www.nippon-yasan.com/content/4-about-us If I recall correctly, they are French owned. I don't know if and how that influences their customer service. I have little experience with native born French where I live and have visited.

Using classical "pull it out of your butt" logic: I will assume that they were ineffective against Inbit armor; just as most of the ride armor weapons were. Aim for the eye with a dagger is way risky.

Buy a suitcase and check in your "normal" unneeded "carry-on items" and the VF-1S becomes the "new carry-on?"
