Brittle plastic is more of a concern to me than yellowing. I won't fully transform my HCM VF-1J anymore because of it. I've seen what happens to Jetfires from that era.

I'm in the same boat as you. I haven't gotten any notice on status from Nippon-Yasan since February. And that was that the HMR VF-4 release date was moved up. Wasn't it not too long ago that Amazon banned the use of FedEx because they had over a 40% late delivery rate? Now they have a valid excuse for it? Regardless of the current situation, with the world locked into a global economy these days, cargo has to move. Will it be slower? Most likely. My real concern is the re-occurrence of the virus after the national knockdowns begin to be lifted. More people will begin to travel again and you all know what that may lead to. As far as virus mutation... We all could luck out and it could just mutate into a form that no longer affects humans. But I'm not usually that lucky...

Because we all knew who was really in charge of that organization. -
I don't know about everyone, but generally speaking, the more you handle HMR toys, the more you like them. They are a good size to play with. They are just not as visually impressive as 1:60 and larger scales. Unless, of course, you army build.

I would think that having your child help out with chores with or without allowance or having them help with the family business is child labor. Depending on the Newspaper route, you get no days off. There are certain things society is willing to overlook. Sweat Shops are a different matter. Toilet paper was a serious matter when there was a dock worker strike, you can't truck it in, and you don't produce toilet paper locally. But you didn't have electric bidets back then. Even with electric bidets, you still need toilet paper for drying. Unless you are willing to use a towel.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
DewPoint replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've only watched 12 Kingdoms and Angel Beats out of that list. I liked 12 Kingdoms, but barely remember anything from it. Angel Beats was good! UT I don't know it it would make my Top 5 list for those types of shows. The description of the other 3 shows just never interested me enough to give them a shot. -
Being that this is a Robotech product, and I'm not even sure why its in the Toys forum, the said "rivets" are actually "protoculture emiters." They give the Veritechs their alien strength.

I would think that one could harvest a decent amount of fold quartz from wreckage left at combat sites. How diligent are the fleets at recovering all the destroyed military properties? Do they really go back to salvage some time after a forced retreat?

I'll consider mine a later order as I didn't put in my order on OP night/morning. Something like 2 or 3 days later. Considering the current state of things in Asia, delays are expected for everything produced there. I'll get it whenever I get it.

I really wish I had the space available to collect in that manner. Spares are really peace of mind for breakage and ware. I like to handle things from time to time.

The last thing I've heard from Nippon-Yasan was that the release date of the VF-4 was moved up to February 15th. That was on January 31st. Not a word since. However, I only purchased this because it was cheap. It was not a must buy for me. It's also slated to become another office toy.

It was never seen in the movie, but Max was Skull Leader for at least a month. It took that long for the SDF-1 to get back to Earth following Roy's death. So he should have used SSP even if only on patrol.

As far a NY goes, I only use them if I have to or if their price is lower than everyone else. The more people that boycott them the less competition I will have getting my fix of Collectables. I understand wanting things as soon as possible, but I can wait. So long as I get my orders. You just gotta beat down the envy/jealousy that wells up when everyone here starts to receive their orders. They are French owned (I believe), so expect French-like service? Whatever that is...

If the Ozone Elimator generates ozone, I would advise against it. Ozone can degrade things like rubber. Like anything, research first, it may be OK. Arm & Hammer claims their product eliminates order. Maybe put everything in a lidded container with baking soda refrigerator style (non-contact)?

Yeah, jenius pushed me down the Macross collecting rabbit hole too. I got into the Arcadia and HMR stuff because of his reviews. When he really like something he makes you really like it too. Then the want grows... I was under the impression that you were thinning out your collection in preparation to move or something. I guess I was wrong?

I think our best bet for the video quality you are looking for is to try to find a LaserDisc copy of the movie. VCD tends to be highly compressed and thus poor quality. Your major problem is that unless you can find a good quality, working CRT, everything you play the movie back on will be stretched. Either the playback device or the television monitor will stretch the video. How well it dose that is highly dependent on the hardware/software used and your personal preferences. As Noel pointed out, NTSC/PAL is 320x240, DVD is 720x480, HD is 1920x1080, roughly. Your vintage copy of DYRL, whatever you decide on in the end, will get stretched (maintaining aspect ratio hopefully) to whatever vertical resolution your monitor is. Remastering and the quality of it is something I really do not want to get into. It's a very large can of worms.

If you got snacks/food to go along with it, then yes! Totally!

Happy New Year! I will argue that Valkyries are very "Doll" like. A lot of you baby them, play dress up with armor/missiles/SSP, and depending on which ones you have, you can play Mommy/Daddy or romance dating with them. You can even get a hanger to play house!

Going to give Choujikuu Seiki Orguss 02 a go. No real expectations other than it will likely be weird. -

Give it 2 or 3 years and that price will feel reasonable.
