  1. Does this lead us to "why does it come with landing gears?" Was it even shown in the movie with landing gears? Because I don't remember landing gears. I've watched DYRL like 5 time or so I think. As far as color: In my head it should be safety orange. Safety Orange is always the correct color!
  2. The asking price of the Valkyrie Factory KOs appears to be trending up. Unless you can find one at a steal, it seems to be getting to the point where you may as well get the Yamato or Arcadia for not significantly more. And from more reliable sources.
  3. My HMR VF-4G by way of Unregistered Mail form Nippon Yasan still hasn't moved. At this point I'll be trying to break the VF-31A shipping delay record! My Legioss Eta isn't moving either. That one is also on Unregistered Mail but from CDJapan. I didn't feel like paying 3000 yen more to upgrade to DHL. This lull in shipping is curbing my need to grow my collection. Maybe that's a good thing?
  4. One day we'll all find out that it is the plastic interacting with neutrinos and there us absolutely nothing we can do about it. That or it proves the existence of dark matter.
  5. So I wanted to talk a bit about your light meter. When talking about specs, the wording becomes very important. +/- 4% is of the full range. Thus your light meter is +/- 119.96 and varies an additional whatever your right most digit resolution is. So all your values are basically in the weeds as your readings are guaranteed to be +/- 121 µW/cm2. Its tech, so you get what you pay for. How accurate you really need something is another question. Its not medical or aerospace equipment, so most likely good enough. As far as some LEDs go, some manufactures use a blue LED and a yellow phosphor to give you the color of light you are interested in. The blue light will have a spectrum as well as the phosphor itself. This may be why you are getting UV reading from your LEDs. You may have to look more closely at the manufacturer of the bulbs/light strips and type of LEDs used.
  6. Well, since they are still in the prototype stage, perhaps they should try to make sure that it will be compatible with the upcoming Kits Concept 1/12 Dana. Unless, of course, they are planning to release their own figure.
  7. I don't know about lizards, but goldfish totally do!
  8. Kakizaki was a "A" ranked recruit just like Max. He just wasn't better than Milia.

You need all 6! You know why...
  10. Not surprising as many already know that fluorescent bulbs are just UV bulbs with a white phosphor coating in it. Any break or imperfection in the coating will leak UV out. I've read that CFL are especially bad in this regard.
  11. My Armored VF-1J arrived today from amiami by way of DHL. It spent 5 days in shipping. I'll probably get it armored up this weekend. I'm actually fine with the non-gray visor as I don't have Hikaru VF-1J. As I missed the Yamato era, I decided to stick with Arcadia releases. I just need a CF VF-1A now. And maybe a VT-1. And a Max VF-1S.
  12. Without having access to the meeting records between T-Rex and Bandai, we may never know who made what decision. Regardless, the client, which is Bandai in this case, makes all final approvals. The clip holding the arms on the Yamato/Arcadia VF-1s may have been a Yamato idea and thus Bandai can't use it. So we blame whoever puts their name on the box!
  13. Those images remind me of the USS Flagg Playset. I did a quick ebay price check and those are going for a crazy asking price.

    Macross figures

Well they are $12 each ($59.99 set). Something is wrong with Ben, but everyone else seems OK at that price point. They are most definitely not $50+ figures.
  15. Well... Its like Barbie. You gotta make unrealistic proportions so the outfits look right or else you get something like the following: Random internet search, but strangely... well... yeah, not my picture.
  16. It's been quite some time since I watched Megazone 23. I only really liked part 1. I personally don't care for the stories for the rest of the series. The character designs are different for part 2 & 3. If I recall correctly, Mikimoto was only involved with the character designs for EVE for parts 2 & 3. I don't believe that you need to watch anything beyond the first OVA to enjoy Megazone 23. Megazone 23 was the first animated OVA to make a major profit. I don't think that they has a part 2 & 3 planned from the beginning. That being said: are there loose ends? Yes! Does it matter? Not really because that's life! I forgot to mention that you shouldn't watch part 2 with young children due to an adult scene. I don't remember if part 3 had anything like that.

    Macross figures

I was thinking that they may as well for 1:12 scale with recent announcements form the other manufacturer(s). But that would make this thing massive.
  18. Leave room for future "innovation"? Fix it in the next version and advertise it as a "new" feature? Then make us all buy it again!
  19. I'll go with "Yes." In Science Fiction it is very easy to use the "self-centered bastard that only cares about furthering their own goals at the expense of the good of the group/community/population." You can't ever fully trust Humans as they have a high potential of screwing you over because the "MacGuffin" is far too desirable.
  20. Is it $18 or $80 an episode? I'm hearing $80. Which is still way low..
  21. If I recall correctly, other members that took the store credit in the past, could not use the credit for Pre-Orders. This limits you to popular items at their inflated prices or unpopular items at retail or slightly below retail. Then you will see your now cancelled items listed on their website at their new inflated price for someone else to purchase. If you have the funds, you could buy from another vender and sell your NY items whenever you receive them for your cost (plus shipping) or whatever the fair market price is at that time.
  22. I really don't know that much about it. Maybe someone more knowledgeable about it will enlighten us. Apparently the game when it first released was revolutionary for its time. It combined many of the popular game type together. It was part robot combat, dating sim, etc. But that's about all I know about it.
  23. Cheep tires strike again! Or was that black ice?
  24. If you are new to PreOrder Madness, you may want to pick a few online retailers that appeal to you and create accounts before the PreOrder. You don't want to get cart-jacked while you are creating an account to complete your order. I think it helps (not 100% sure) to log-in just before Madness hour to help with check-out. Regardless, reducing delays in checkout should help.
