  1. When one looks at the RT comparison, it makes one wonder how the Invid could have possibly been a threat to the Zentreadi. The giants would be stomping those bugs outta existence!
  2. My money is on the Red and Blue Macross Frontier Materials books... The SDFM Materials and the TIA Macross 7 Materials had buckets of goodies in them...
  3. One has to wonder.... Though the Quarter was the Macross star of the series, not the NMC...
  4. You've seen a strawberry blonde in the sunlight right?
  5. I see the NUNG as more of a federalist organization. Setting policy, supporting the Galaxy network and colonies but staying out of internal politics unless it threatens the community as a whole. It seems that in 50 years the bureaucracy of the NUNG has become so big that it is becoming ineffective on day to day issues. Thus the need to allow each fleet to be treated as an autonomous nation in the Galaxy network, since most are too far out to directly support and once they colonize they will be a colony with a fixed location. Ultimately the Galaxy behaved more akin to a rogue state / nation rather than a rebellious colony. Seeking to find and use controlled technology and practices. Being a corporate sponsored fleet it was behaving like many multi-national corporations do right now. Skirting or influencing local laws to their own financial advantage.
  6. CM won't be doing any Frontier figures for at least several years, Bandai needs to loose interest in that type of product first. However there are plenty of subjects for them to exploit. How about a line of cockpits like they did with the VF-1? There are several figures that really haven't been done, like Kakizaki, Shin, Edgar, Aries, Nora, Guld, Hibiki, etc...
  7. All the BD discs will be released by some time next spring. They are releasing a 3 episode volume every month...
  8. Mac 7 was very popular too and there were only 2 post series movies (if you can call a 1/2 hours movette a movie ) before the franchise went back into hibernation...
  9. There are histories to what happened to all the bridge bunnies posted somewhere, possibly archived now... I believe Vanessa had continued in the military while the rest moved on.
  10. I got the impression that he was some sort of war hero that everyone in the military looked up to. You don't get command of a flagship if you are a green commander. I didn't get the sense he was Nexx's commander either.
  11. Possibly more CG and/or additional details that enhance the story like additional non animated audio communications between Grace and her cohorts and the like. Maybe even a few additional types of bolt on weapons packs (gotta give Bandai more variants to sell to the market. Afterall, they are used to the Gundam franchise... ) Seems like it may be a movie version ala Macross Plus. A concentrated story with more raw mecha action.
  12. Is anyone aware that CMS is re-releasing their Macross Set 1 figure collection in January? http://www.1999.co.jp/item_cart_e.asp?piec...&Typ1_c=101
  13. Blast it! Not again... I noticed Global... He seems so much shorter than I remember....
  14. Trouble is that it's centered on the page and to remove the article would put the text off. To fix it all, would require more time and effort than I'm willing to put into fixing someone else's work... Although, I can't say I will never fix it...
  15. IMO, that's still quite a stretch... The artifact is no real surprise as we were told the PC emulated the Vajra's abilities with technology. It is entirely possible that before the Vajra, SD fold travel was not possible or at least very limited.
  16. They are referred to as both, Auto Attack Bits and Squires... The second is possibly the a "nickname" like the F-14 being called the "Tomcat"...
  17. It makes sense, considering what Spacy had to "build" was naturally occuring in each PD unit... Suggesting that they had limited knowledge of PC technology.
  18. True. The last chapter in the saga was HG trademarking the name "Macross" in 2003 a couple months after the Japanese court decision giving the franchise IP rights to Bigwest and Studio Nue... You don't negotiate with a potential partner while you attempt to supplant their legal property rights internationally...
  19. I am more inclined to agree with Sketchley here. If they had the older gen fighters they would have used them in the finale...
  20. Saito Kaiba is the infrequent resident expert on Mac II. He apparently has been seeking out and translating any and all Mac II info for several years. Thus far I have not heard any mention of that mecha having a name or stats... Much like the Zentran VF-XX, it was cool design that showed up as a blip in the show...
  21. All the data in those books are made up by the authors. There are is no data on that mecha as far as I'm aware...
  22. HG can't touch any Macross production past SDFM. BigWest won't have any ally of Tatsunoko distributing their property, not to mention HG has actively engaged in blocking new Macross shows from the US market.
