  1. The Sheryl picture on the door is the same one that came on a sticker with the last single CD. I'm surprised the Ranka picture on the other door isn't the other one from her single CD release as well... For those who didn't get them, both came with 2 special stickers. The "Monster Girl" + another for Ranka and the "Rise Up" + the one shown on the door here for Sheryl...
  2. I'm glad to see the movie pushed back again. I am still hopeful it will be a new story as opposed to a rehash of what we've seen. Hell a side story would be welcome.
  3. Wow, Bandai must have cut a special deal to get to produce toys of the VF-0, SV-51, YF-19 & YF-21. Kinda glad they did though. Definitely collector's items for this cat! Oh my sweet Lord!! That is a biggun!
  4. Just get another 2Gb stick. XP will only see 3Gb, but it's better than the two you currently have and your positioned if MS ever releases a less buggy OS than Vista. BTW stunning work!!!
  5. Well HG has never been the smartest business operator. The Agrama's are all about making money and will sell cow dung if the public will pay for it. Judging by some of the HG staffers I've met at cons, they are not the shrewdest business team I've ever met and tend to be intimdated by fans who know more about the source animes than they do...
  6. Well that's something only Egan Loo and his team can answer. Prior to the Chronicle's publication it was considered the canonical source for English speaking Macross fans, by nearly all here. It must have some legitimate source since the Chronicle echos what was written about the fate of the Megaroad in the compendium. The partial bibliography is listed here. Old Compendium Bibliography - Partial
  7. Most likely someone at AE. The audio quality differences between the AE version and the ADV version is further evidence that AE had better masters. I got the impression that the license didn't so much lapse as HG wouldn't renew it. Most likely they had some deal with ADV already in the works for a dub... AE had to turn over all their printed copies at the time of expiration. I remember because they had a massive discount on the box sets before the expiry and I got all 3 sets for $120.00. Then a month later they ended up on the RT site with different packaging.
  8. What Gubaba translated has been in the Compendium for quite some time now, at least the part about the Megaroad stopping transmissions and the subsequent cover up. Whatever sources the compendium used are verified in the Chronicle. Old Compendium Link What appears to be news (to me anyway, with respect to the final fate of the ship) is where the Megaroad was when the transmissions ceased. Prior to the Chronicle, its location at the time of its disappearance was left rather vague. Other details, like its actual civilian compliment and the details of its fleet are definitely new...
  9. Thanks for all the amazing work, but the final word on it's fate is pretty much already known....
  10. The VF-19F & S fighters were "optimized" for space flight, hence the fixed wings. The VF-19A & P fighters were "optimized" for atmospheric flight. Both could fly in either environment, but performed better in the one they were optimized for. I am doubtful the Megaroad "adapted" their valks. The PD versions were adapted to be visually intimidating as well as heavily armed. Something the PD would know based on the effectiveness of their own bodies.
  11. Thank God!! Otherwise it would have been another NIGHTMARE!!!
  12. In SDFM when Millia "tossed" Komilla to Misa in their living room. She explained that Komilla was a lot tougher than a human baby and Misa shouldn't worry.
  13. One thing that has ocurred to me lately is that the VF-27 could conceivably be the next gen Zentreadi fighter. A Zentreadi with EX Gear and VF-25 flight controls could very well fly the Lucifer to it's full potential. Currently a cyborg with implants is only capable, but considering the hardy nature of the Zentreadi physique, add the EX Gear and a set of VF-25 controls, it is possible.
  14. Huh? Varauta was on the rim of the PC territory. Humanity hasn't come very close to the galactic core where the PC most likely inhabited. The core would likely be the most dangerous place to go. Besides, considering the mere slivers that the 30+(?) colony fleets have encountered, there is billions of miles left to explore in the milky way alone, never mind other galaxies. I'm more curious about learning what is the current state of the SA and the PC remnants. The last thing I'd want to see is for Macross to turn into ST where there's a new alien a week....
  15. It's still a nick name as far as I'm aware. But you know fans, VF-0 just doesn't have the same romantic ring to it as Phoenix...
  16. That's been my assertion all along. As soon as a colony fleet launches it is considered a citystate or a "member nation" of the UN. It may launch with an Administrative Director and once a President is elected, the two positions either combine or executive authority is then passed on to the head of the civilian government. Logistically it would be beneficial to do it this way. When the fleet finally lands on a habitable world, an existing government is already in place, so no territorial governorships are necessary from the outset. I wonder if the intention is that Howard Glass is the 4th President of Frontier "in the NUNG", along with all the Presidents of all the other colonies (including fleets). I too would be somewhat pensive, as a citizen of the NUNG, to have my leader on a super long distance colony mission as opposed to leading the government in a local system or on Earth.
  17. Didn't MBS do what most US networks are now doing, show the episode again via web streaming video?
  18. I didn't mention the VP since I suspected the majority of the members on this board were aware of the US Presidential succession.
  19. I'm still not convinced since the old compendium lists the leader of the UNG as a Prime Minister, not a president. It makes little sense to me that a Presidential aide would assume the Presidency over the entire NUNG, when outside of the US, the Prime Minister would take on that role if their President were to become incapacitated. The NUNS PM would likely be located elsewhere in the galaxy (planet, colony ship, etc...). Leon taking over as Administrative Director of Frontier is another matter.
  20. Yeah I find it difficult to believe a colony program forking out big bucks to have a high end military fighter like the 19 as a mere colony escort, when its capabilities could be better utilized in active military service elsewhere. That isn't to say Frontier didn't have the plans or was incapable of building VF-19s or VF-22s if necessary. I'm sure they could. The thing is that they had an SMS branch onboard and they were testing the latest LAI derivative of the VF-24, the VF-25 Messiah anyway...
