  1. Hmmm, a Western "Another Century" type game huh?
  2. I think a request of the translated scans was made, but thanks all the same... I suspect the creepy things are an extension of the tentacles Exdol was using in DYRL to play the music card. Except these are weaponized. Maybe its type of grappling system similar to the one incorporated into the Glipernich PD?
  3. I was not aware Malaysia were given an official license??
  4. What magazine was it featured in? Doubtful IMO, it'll be more merchandise like the YF-25 was. A background cameo shot and that'll probably be it...
  5. Yeah, finding myself getting concerned that Kawamori is getting very close to "jumping the shark" on new VF designs for this series...
  6. Working on it. Probably have some to post during the Christmas break, have a week off and plenty of time to fuss over them...
  7. Ahhh, makes sense...
  8. Thank you We'll see if it works or if Photoshop skews it like it did with the other jpegs... Stunning work as usual sir!! Love the addition of the gun pod. I wonder if the VF-24 would use the VF-25's gunpod though? Makes one wonder if the VF-19 gunpod would be used or not?
  9. Pfft Minmay is the scandal... What was once obscured by naivete in the series is very apparent the new Manga. Minmay is a constant flirt and tease. She's a model, so she knows that her looks get places... She is not afraid to use it either.
  10. I don't get the Southern Germany reference . I always figured he was French. - Maxmillian may have Germanic roots, but it is fairly common around Europe. - How many Germans fall in love at first sight with someone trying to kill them? - He's Catholic. - He named his youngest daughter Mylene, which is a common French name - France and Japan have always had an excellent relationship with respect to film and anime, so a French ace is a nice homage to that relationship.
  11. So why is it, in the Macross universe, anytime a group is "anti-government" they are automatically "TERRORISTS"??!! I really don't think many fully understand the term... The Anti-UN were called "terrorists" yet they not only had a military but a political agenda. By nature, terrorists are cowards. Most of the antagonsts in the Macross universe, be they the Anti-UN, the Vinderance, et al, should be considered rebels or insurgents IMO. The bad guys we've seen thus far aren't afraid of a stand up fight and aren't prone to blow up targets and scurry off like rats... I am just getting so sick of the abuse of the term by everyone! "pant"-"pant"-"pant" - rant is over, go back to your drinks... _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I am of the opinion that Graham is probably pretty close to being right. With emigration fleets taking on autonomous nationhood as they leave the solar system, they become an ally rather than a colony under direct UNG protection or control. Clearly a few, like Galaxy have not demonstrated themselves as reliable or forthright allies. Thus in the interest of protecting itself, the Earth and probably its most trusted allies are allowed the full benefit of modern OTEC gear whereas the colony fleets, being entitled to the information by virtue of the alliance, are not aprised of all the tech available. The de-centralization of the UNG has left a lot of old politicians and military commanders, who once enjoyed enormous power, weaker and probably fairly paranoid. The old days of the UNS patrols peppering the known galaxy are rapidly being replaced by privately contracted companies like SMS who have the cash to purchase the most advanced equipment from anywhere. They probably have to, since the most advanced Spacy gear is not available to them or their clients. This policy won't, however, protect the Earth and her closest allies from the independent advances made on the Frontier, Galaxy and other emigration fleets. It is a two edged sword. The policy is very similar to how the US and Russia conducted themselves during the cold war and to a certain extent today. Only the most trusted allies were allowed to buy complete modern aircraft from the US or the USSR. All the rest would be able to buy the equipment, but certain "components" would be left out of the deal. Pakistan's F-16 deal with the US was a prime example. The Isreali's got the complete F-16, whereas a less trusted ally like Pakistan didn't get the same radar package. Today, many countries are buying the F-35 Lightning II, but the F-22 Raptor is not open to foreign sales...
  12. My HD Christmas wallpaper. If you want a different resolution feel free to ask. Art is by Inui and I just boosted the colors and added the red glow to the valkyrie's nose... Enjoy: Christmas version: Holiday Version:
  13. Cruising Fold Faults Baby!!

  14. I completely understand and am happy to wait for quality work. Yes Please, a few white shots would be awesome and even a black and white version of the brown VF-24 would be outstanding if possible, but everything will be fine without one, however the hires PNG file of the exisiting model is certainly needed... I don't know if you could darken the cockpit a bit. Without a pilot, I have to improvise to keep things looking realistic. Thank you for all your help..
  15. The plain background is PERFECT! It makes lifting the fighter that much easier. Any contrasting monochromatic background works best. If it is at all possible would be able to do a few belly shots and maybe a couple more angles? I am truly loving this model of yours... THANK YOU very much. This should be fun...
  16. Well take the second most popular VF in Macross history, couple it with the latest Macross hit and viola - more merchandizing money...
  17. I think the sticking point for me is the lack of affect the aerodynamics of the aircraft play in these "official" equations. This isn't the boxy Legioss we're talking about, but a relatively sound aerodynamic fuselage. It also doesn't require constant VTOL to stay aloft and the fighter isn't flying at Mach speeds all the damn time (granted at mach speeds it shouldn't need ECA...) either! As I said before, any other technical explanation would be acceptable. I just find it hard to swallow that power output during non-supersonic flight with an aerodynamic lift body fuselage is the ONLY reason... In particular that the power requirements for a GERWALK in comparison would have to be much higher... Other's choose to accept the official line, I remain skeptical.
  18. Well that's the point. There isn't a definitive answer as to why ECA is unavailable in fighter mode. The logic behind the "official" explanation is weak at best. If the reason is that the ECA capacitor is disconnected or unable to be connected during fighter mode (ala Macross Cannon in SDFM), then that is believable. To pin it on the power output of engines that are only partially responsible for the atmospheric lift of an aircraft is not terribly credible for me - regardless of how "official" it apparently is. We've all experienced things that are official canon "until" the next RETCON comes along... If we were given explanations like: 1. ECA in fighter mode is progressively reduced as the fighter speeds increase (I'd find plausible). 2. GERWALK mode has something like 50% ECA effectiveness due to the power drain of operating both the jets as well as the limb servos. 3. The Battroid has 100% ECA effectiveness unless it performs a jet jump, then the ECA drops to something like 75 -80% effectiveness. Now combine this with OTEC alloys for the frame and skin and you have a very tough bird to go up against the superior PC designed weaponry of the Zentradi. It doesn't make valkyrie's invincible, just very tough. These things I can accept easily. The absence of enough power to run the ECA during aerodynamic flight is much less plausible for me...
  19. I was hoping that one would be called "The Millia Collection".... But that's just me...
