  1. I like the image, but the lighting seems off somehow...
  2. With resource collectors and the like. The models remind me of Ren's MQ, Guantanimo and NMC cg models. Maybe it's Ren, he hasn't been around in a while? He also made VF-171 models,

Wow!! would you be willing to put together a zip file of ultra-hires renders? This beauty is one of your best works so far... Thank you for sharing!

That's the one! If you choose to make a VF-22 canopy, there are at least 3 other skins that could be made for the model, not to mention the dozens of fan made schemes... Loving the work!!

Do you plan to do the other color schemes of the YF-21, I believe there are two.

I don't think this is legal in the Southern states and especially UTAH! Mecha Pron!!!
  7. If I recall correctly he has an unfinished model in his collection, but it doesn't transform, nor is it textured.
  8. That's because it is supposed to be a Thunderbird, not an eagle
  9. True you'll never win an award if you go "Full Alien"...
  10. SA = Supervision Army. The cg model was done my East Coast Canuck and the mecha was done my Takim, all I did was add the second engine block and the background, then cobble together the scene in photoshop.
  11. Hmmm, Perhaps taking the SDF-1 to it's former glory as a SA gunship? This may not be an SA gunship (until I turned it into one with my little friend photoshop), but it certainly looks like it could have been. Original beauty: http://eastcoastcanuck.deviantart.com/art/SDF4-Concept-125355844 My rendition: http://zinjo.deviantart.com/art/Macross-Supervision-Army-Fleet-263777460
  12. Maybe so, but BW has always been slow or perhaps reluctant to do add subs or dubs to their Macross titles. If they begin to do it on all releases they'd be wise to take advantage of a world market instead of only domestic.
  13. All Jay Lew's work was amazing, too bad he's not around here anymore. TanJ is another interesting CG artist, along with our own band of artists around here... Ask Dan Bickel how many times he's revised his VF-1, even during his posting here... He's a professional CG artist as well.
  14. Would you post those images Marchy? I honestly don't remember them.
  15. I'm liking what i see so far. I realize you may not have intended it, but I like the stylized shape of the bridge area!
  16. Does the new Chronicle devote much space to concept art or only "in-universe" explained gear?
  17. If we all buy a copy of the international releases of the MF movies, there is a good chance. All businesses can be influenced by their bank accounts....
  18. We saw frigates and destroyers of the Galaxy fleet destroyed and the Galaxy herself under attack, but no definitive proof she was lost. Later in the series we get the impression that she is still out there, just running silent. I see no reason to believe the Galaxy citizenry are under mind control, just look at modern society. Give a population enough distractions and they'll allow all sorts of policies that are against their own interests. The idea of colonial wars, be they cold or hot is a natural progression of a civilization. Humanity "survived" the Great Space War, they may not have learned much wisdom from it. It also reinforces Kawamori's idea that federal tech is not fully shared among the colony worlds. Each colony can develop their own versions of VF's, but they will be limited compared to the fully developed federal fighters. The Allied Network is separated by vast distances and each world or colony ship is considered a nation state unto itself. Thus many could be a potential threat to federal authority or installations. So it is important for the Federal Government to maintain a technological edge over the colonies to protect itself and it's interests. Such a political environment could fuel many very interesting stories in the Macross universe. The Galaxy's conspiracy against a fellow colony ship is an example of the current political climate in the 2060's. I doubt is uncommon. Neighbor worlds likely fight all the time and perhaps the feds have to send a fleet or two to break up the wars from time to time. I don't see any civil war on the horizon as humanity has decentralized the government into more of a federation of member states. They are inter-dependent but not subject to the central government as much or at all possibly. A logical change as the resources to maintain such a government would be immense and it is perhaps humanity trying to avoid the mistakes of the Protoculture. The biggest danger the Galaxy posed was trying to "control" the Vajra. I liked the idea that many had altruistic intentions while other individuals were more malevolent in their plans (very much like the effort to split the atom.) I like to believe this type of effort is what sparked the civil war in the Protoculture Stellar Republic. One faction wanted to control what appears to be the most powerful naturally occurring force in the galaxy and the other was working to stop them. It would also logically explain why the EVIL series were being developed. They were meant to be a counter to any Vajra army the other side could conjure.
  19. OH well, gotta get this one!!! It is good to see Big West learning the trick of getting around the HG embargo on domestic releases of Macross properties. They can sub all the shows as "International Releases" and nothing can stop Western fans from importing them.... BRAVO Big West!!!
  20. Still waiting for a VF-11D version of that amazing Digital Cammo scheme!!!
  21. Amazing work, I'm sure Kawamori would be impressed your imaginative variable solutions. Are the Zentradi variables for full size giants? Why are there flying destroids when the Valkyrie system performs that role?
