    Not quite. The broad strokes of the universe and the technical aspects are the official continuity, but the media productions are considered to be "based" on historical events and dramatized.

    I can only hope it has more depth than that, such as the negative effects of colonization on indigenous cultures. Think of the North American Indians, Africans, Polynesia, even cultural colonization of Japan starting in the 17th century through the 19th and culminating with the forced "Convention of Kanagawa" by American Commodore Perry in the 1850's. I would love this series to be a theme with that sort of depth. After a time an indigenous people may fight back to preserve their culture or forceably (or not) to be assimilated into a foreign culture whereby their own dies.

    Actually it's rather consistent with human inter-racial children who may or may not take on the distinct traits of either parent.

    I am doubtful we'll ever really see any definitive explanation of what the "SV" stands for other than it denotes an unsanctioned design outside the SPACY convention.

    Actually it looks a lot like it is a CF buff as opposed to the SDFM brown. The CF valks have been getting lighter and light in color over the years. I am still a fan of the VF-171 blue as a CF color.

    I am pretty sure they are designated Helo landing areas similar to LHD carriers. The difference from an LHD carrier is that the AK carrier also has a jet launch ramp.

    I suspect this will be an association that will allow all the stake holders to make products from other members' licenses and the profits will be collectively distributed. It would be an insulator against one company assuming all the risk to produce items for niche markets and collectors.

    I liked the LA Attack on Titan. It had all the elements needed to be a compelling film. Granted it wasn't perfect, but it was better than most...

    TV series are almost always in keeping with the trends of the day. The amount of money to put on a series compared to an OVA pretty much determines that. If the current market trend was toward mecha / space operas, we'd probably get a series more in the vein of SDFM.

    I want to see a Tomytec fighter up close before I pull the trigger, but so far they are looking good! I so want the CF VF-25A, 31A, 171's. I suspect it is due to my fetish for rare items and the CF fighters being less likely to be sold compared to hero valks.

    The transforming Tomytec seems much more well thought out compared to Bandai's VF-100 series. The VF-100's as static fighter models were epic in their detail, but craptastic to transform... They should have saved their money and just sold pre-painted static fighter models of the VF-25 variants, but that wouldn't be Bandai then...

    Perhaps there may be some tension with respect to colonists moving to the world in numbers far more than the indigenous populations like. Almost like an allegory to what is happening in so many countries with respect to immigrants and refugees...
