That is an amazing picture. I would love to see one where the Macross is half submerged in a lake with bridges going between it and the mainland.

Personally, I most identify with Vanessa Lairdo (one of the so called "bridge bunnies"). My reasons: 1.) We both wear glasses! 2.) She's sort of like a data analyst. I'm a computer scientist. That's sort of similar, right? 3.) We both love to go group shopping with our friends. 4.) We both also seem to like going on group dates together with other friend couples. 5.) I'm not as ditsy as Shammy 6.) Not as much of a mother figure as Claudia... but still pretty reliable. 7.) I don't have the video game or knife skills that Miriya has. 8.) I would like to think that I am not a whiny brat like Minmei. 9.) Plus I, as an adult, would never kiss my cousin on the lips like Minmei does. 10.) Misa has much more of a temper than I do. 11.) I'd never sleep with Hikaru... even if he was the last man or Earth... which he was for a time in the movie. 12.) I'd sleep with Max anytime... so maybe I'm a little bit like Miriya? So, from the poll options, I'd pick Miriya. But really, my answer would be Vanessa.

My Itano Circus-inspired dissertation on improving target elimination via cooperative pitbulling through in-flight locally-networked swarms got approved earlier today! PhD, here I come! YAY! Too bad my paper will never see the light of day.... yay confidentiality.... *sigh* I am going to miss school. Is it bad I am tempted to pursue a 2nd master/doctorate degree so that I can write a thesis/dissertation that I can actually have published? Given the job market sucking due to the coronavirus epidemic, maybe more school would be the easier option. At any rate, figured getting my dissertation committee's approval counted as having received something that is Macross related. Hope you are all doing well and staying safe, Officially Dr. Shizuka the PhD Cat in less than 2 months when graduation day comes.

Is it bad that I ALMOST want to post in the MWF Wanted section.... "Will trade my valkyries for toilet paper"? Went to the Walmart by my mom's place.... no toilet paper, no paper towels, no hand sanitizer, no rice, no canned food. Did stock up on LOTS of butter pecan ice cream though.

A study [1] that is awaiting peer review found the COVID-19 virus is stable; in the air for up to 3 hours on copper for up to 4 hours on cardboard for up to 24 hours on plastic and stainless steel for up to 2 - 3 days So, conceivably, depending on what is being shipped and how quickly said shipment arrives, I would not say it is impossible for COVID-19 to survive shipping. Other coronaviruses, such as SARS and MERS, can survive on metal, glass, or plastic for up to 9 days. The flu virus, for comparison, can last on surfaces for about 48 hours [2]. As @jenius said, don't panic. But, please do exercise caution whenever possible. Personally, I would handle an unopened package arrival with disposable gloves, and let the package sit for a couple of days before opening.... but that's just me. -Shizuka the Cat... who is afraid her ability to graduate may be delayed due to this current pandemic. Just thought I would pop in for a moment to say... My dissertation was just approved.... so all that is really standing in my way to getting my PhD is doing my dissertation defense in front of my adviser and the other committee members.... which will probably be done sometime in April... depending on when my mother's chemo and radiation therapy gets scheduled. At any rate, it was nice to get some good news for once.,. especially given how the past few weeks has been regarding my mother's health. Have a great weekend everyone! Hello, I just wanted to peek into MWF and see if there are any Macross toy releases coming on the horizon? I have been out of the loop as of late, as my mother was diagnosed with cancer, so I have been away from home/school to help care for her the past several weeks. And with her upcoming surgery next week, I will likely continue to be caring for her for the next few months... or longer. Truth be told, I worry that my mom might not get to see me earn my PhD. I apologize in advance that I will probably not be available to help out with pre-order madness... at least not for quite some time. I will try to pop into MWF when I can. I have managed to thin out my collection... a little bit. I have done a lot of packing.,, The boxes containing Macross toys pictured here is maybe about 1/3 of my collection. And that does not include all the DVDs, Blu-Rays, CDs, manga, textbooks, clothes, and stuffed animals that I have also been packing. *sigh*
