What's funny is that I stayed up for the 2nd wave pre-order madness.... and I was not even planning on ordering one, since I already have 2 pre-orders in from the 1st wave. But, I figured I would stay up, and maintain a list of stores, prices, and links for this 2nd wave. Sadly... when the ONLY store to even offer a 2nd wave was CDJapan, and it lasting under 5 minutes before them selling out, I was all disappointed. LOL. And I had my cup of coffee all ready and everything!

Mandarake is very reliable. Founded in 1980, it has several store fronts, including its headquarters in Nakano as well as locations in Shibuya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Ikebukuro, Akihabara, and more. They are even traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

I have something that shipped on April 2nd. Still waiting for it as it slowly travels from Japan to Boston.

I am in a similar boat, having 2 on order, one from AmiAmi, the other CDJapan. I really only ordered 2 for failover purposes, in the event that one of my orders ends up in limbo as we have seen in the case of the VF-31A and NY.

While CDJapan's 2nd wave pre-order window was really short (under 5 minutes), I will give them props... They were the only shop I saw that even offered a second chance for pre-ordering. HLJ, AmiAmi, NY, HobbySearch... none of those stores seemingly offered the 2nd pre-order opportunity.

Oh, I don't know if I could ever keep something as valuable as an HMR or Yamato v2 1/60 at the lab, for fear of it getting lost or stolen. With all the undergrads wandering around, you never know. I am thinking about having my Toynami 1/100 valkyries moved to my desk on campus though. I consider them to be more expendable.

I had no problem with my Messer VF-1S in fighter mode. I keep all my HMRs in fighter mode and on a Tamashii display stand.

I remember Liberty being around since I was a kid. Here are storefront pics from 3 of their Akihabara locations. When I go shopping, they tend to be the first places I hit, as their used prices from my experience have been among the most competitive.
