    Well, technically speaking, since these are lasers we are talking about rather than projectile weapons, it is not like lasers need the concept of barreling/rifling. Mirrors and lenses, sure... but barreling is not necessary. The only advantage to having lasers shoot out of barrels is to perhaps protect lenses from dust, debris, and other particulates. Sorry,,. I will now go back into the corner and play with my toys again. =P

    Well, the DX Chogokin YF-19 was priced at 27,000 yen for a 1/60 scale toy with Fast Packs, Fold Booster, and missiles. So, for less than 20,000 yen for a 1/48 scale VF-1 toy, I can see Bandai not wanting to include super/strike parts nor missiles.

    Probably not. There has been no indication of missiles in any of the promotional videos or photos.

    It looks like the included stand is only intended to display the VF-1 in fighter mode. I am a little surprised by that. Why not have the stand accommodate battroid and gerwalk modes too? It is not so much a problem for me since I only ever display in fighter mode anyways (except for the VF-1 in GBP), but I imagine that might be a bit annoying for the folks here who like displaying in all 3 modes.

    Hmmm.... Almost 20,000 yen, no Super or Strike parts, presumably no missiles. I do wonder if: 1. ) there will be a separate "weapons pack" release with missiles and super/strike parts? 2.) a subsequent VF-1 bundle that includes the super/strike parts and armament?

    I am hoping Arcadia moves into the 1/60 scale Macross Frontier valkyries. Bandai's DX Chogokin VF-171 had issues with breaking triangles, for example. I could see Arcadia doing a better job with a more modern release.

    Dear Arcadia, Can you please make a 1/3000 scale Macross Battle 7 with clamshell Island 7? AND.... can you also provide me a 1/3000 scale Macross Battle Frontier with Island Frontier and Macross Quarter. If you do, I will sooooo get a 1+ car garage to display this in.

    YES! Rogue One. That one was good. And the one with the birds. And the one where the farmer(?) boy ends up becoming a fighter pilot with his friendly beeping robot and blows up the enemy.

    And there are little flaps integrated into the toy to cover gaps exposed when transforming into battroid mode, specifically the gaps above the chest.

    Okay, so it looks like they are using the same landing gear methodology as the Yamato VF-19 toys, where you pull the landing gear down and then to the side. Also, the way the legs connect to the torso in battroid mode is very reminiscent of the Yamato 1/60 v2 method.

    And I really loved the second most recent movie. There was fighting in space. There was fighting on the planet. There was a big shield keeping the good guys' space ships away.... Wait... now I am getting confused. Isn't there another Star Wars movie with that same plot? Well, whichever is the one where all the good guys on the planet die.... and I suppose all the bad guys too, now that I think about it. The explosion that the other bad guys caused killed both good guys and bad guys on the planet.

    I liked the most recent movie. The birds were so cute, making their nests in the space ship. Best part of the movie. And I liked the sexual tension between Adam Driver and the heroine. Though, I was not a fan of that one pilot who kept not following orders from his superior officers. He was stupid.
