    Not to be difficult, but I re-read the thread and I didn’t see this particular reason spoken of before. Did I miss it?

    Well, did some digging, and found a possible explanation for this dub: one, it hews closer to the original Japanese script than before: it was micromanaged by Studio Khara, the Japanese owners of Eva, to their satisfaction. There’s a school of thought that says Khara did this based on fan reaction to a screening of Rebuild Of Evangelion 3.0 at an American anime con, with a localized English dub. There was laughter and good times, not the seriousness Khara wanted. They were... appalled.

    Didn’t we say somewhere that the NUNS keeps a couple squadrons of VF-1s around for covert ops specifically because there’s so dang many of them still running around they’d be invisible for all practical purposes?

    They ditched Fly Me to the Moon as well for the end credits, for licensing issues. Netflix Japan still has it, though.

    Finally got around to applying the eBay decal to my Aventine, thus fixing the biggest flaw this model has. Decal went on flawlessly.

    Squeenix is working on one “disc” at a time, the game we’re all looking at will end at Midgar and they’re not sure what all will follow.

    And that is how, at least in part, we get Valkyries that cost $200. Ya gotta pay for that engineering, part count, and more complex assembly. To Hasbro, for the most part, Transformers are toys that don’t NEED all that.
