I actually have that (for my VF-11) and I wouldn’t mind doing it if I could 1) color match the paint and 2) had a template for where they’re supposed to go. I have a request for you, Xig, but I’ll put it in your thread.

The cost is too high for the execution they’re offering. Great looking planet, okay looking robot, but the folded panels making up the lower legs kill it, for me at least. They can and should come up with a more elegant solution, for that kind of cash. -

Yeah, but different paint. As for how and why: connections? Grace was a cyborg who’d infiltrated communications networks and was eventually defeated; perhaps she had a lot of knowledge about the 27’s construction and combat limits (since she flew one or two) and that info was uploaded at her defeat.. maybe? -
Well, the problem with that is: aside from Macross, are the other shows really that good? Also, they’re all 40ish years old, so would they actually be embraced by modern anime consumers? As that Justin chap pointed out, those shows were re-released over here a while back, and didn’t do well, and are available to stream on Amazon Prime. Wonder how many views they get...

I’d also say that, given the Brisingr Cluster’s status as a backwater, they’d be desperate for any trade they could get. A Kairos buyer might have significant leverage because of this. And I don’t know if it was ever spelled out in any source, but the massive double-delta wing means that this bad boy (slaps air intake) can hold SO MUCH hydrogen slush, more than the Messiah. So, 31 for my corner of the galaxy. Including my personal VF-27 Lucifer, which I have for reasons. -

As far as the Wyvern goes, it’s an interesting take on Vietnam-era silent observation plane experiments like the YO-3 or the Lockheed Q-Star. I just can’t help but think it would have been a better use of resources to just make an ICE-powered drone than kludge all that together to make a Messiah fly without flying, if you get me.

The RAM materials are made as mats, so you strip mats off and install and smooth the new ones. Much easier than on the Raptor. The mats are also not required for normal combat performance, so after the first week of a campaign, when the US has (supposedly) achieved air superiority and has knocked out the enemy’s AA defenses, you can load the Lightnings with their external pylons and not worry about the RAM maintenance too much.
