Eaglemoss Star Trek Starship, BSG & other starships Collection
Sildani replied to Sandman's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
So this arrived. Heavy guy, it’s mostly metal. Interesting tidbit: it doesn’t explicitly say USS Thunderchild ANYWHERE on the model, although it’s on the box. I’m very pleased, regardless! Edit: UK based eBayer aheebob has already made waterslide decals saying “USS Thunderchild” available for this model for about $10 shipped to the US.- 924 replies

Here’s the studio model that was sold at Christie’s auction house, and it’s kinda dark, so I’d say lighting.- 924 replies

I met him at a Star Trek convention, he signed my Decipher DS9 Nog card and shared an anecdote or two. At a panel I attended, talk was had about what a potential Captain Nog might be like and much laughter was had when he came up with “Mini-Picard!” Thoughts are with his family.

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
Sildani replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
Why not grab the fold quartz from Windermere? They’re pretty much destitute after the events of Delta, with everyone in the Brsingr Cluster either ignoring or actively despising them, so it seems to me like the New UN could simply dictate terms and begin harvesting for a bargain price. Unless they’re worried about somehow triggering either some sort of arms race, or they’re paranoid about a large quantity of high-quality fold quartz appearing in the galaxy, even if it’s mined by the New UN and only transported and used by them. -

Eaglemoss Star Trek Starship, BSG & other starships Collection
Sildani replied to Sandman's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It’s thought Eaglemoss took the DS9-era 36” studio model to do the XL-sior with... surprised you didn’t catch the fact the deflector array grid “paneling” was actually off-kilter... the lines should be perfectly fore-aft and port-starboard, on the XL-sior they’re offset, bisecting those cardinal directions.- 924 replies

Dark Crystal age of resistance on Netflix
Sildani replied to Bolt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Gotta agree, the story is not for the wee ones. This place gets dark. Also, the voice cast is killer. It’s a who’s-who of Hollywood, and all of them are nailing their roles.- 88 replies

Surprise indeed. I figured the Berkut would have been scrapped or sent to Monino by now.

Yeah, they’re small hexagonal vents near the wing root on the trailing edge. They’re the best candidate. -

Well, best of luck to them. Hopefully international pressure won’t be brought to bear to cancel the project, like what happened to the Arrow and TSR-2.

vf-31 siegfried WIP: Alternate Weapons Pods for VF-31
Sildani replied to Sanity is Optional's topic in The Workshop!
Hi! Can I ask a big favor, and have you make some hardpoint brackets to fit on the “shields” of the VF-31 Super Parts? Many thanks! -
I actually have that (for my VF-11) and I wouldn’t mind doing it if I could 1) color match the paint and 2) had a template for where they’re supposed to go. I have a request for you, Xig, but I’ll put it in your thread.

The Transformers Thread (licensed) Next
Sildani replied to mikeszekely's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The cost is too high for the execution they’re offering. Great looking planet, okay looking robot, but the folded panels making up the lower legs kill it, for me at least. They can and should come up with a more elegant solution, for that kind of cash.- 17818 replies
