Thanks for sharing the link to the book - have not received it yet but TBH, even if all else is rubbish, the front cover is awesome and will make a nice edition to my coffee table junk Again slightly off topic, but saw there was a recent convention in California (Super Dimension I think). Did anyone go there and if so, see any stuff worth buying?

Hey Guys... Speaking of paying a lot for a cell... I just bought this one... Won't say how much for as don't want to get picked on :) I understand the frustrations mentioned but at the end of the day, if you choose to buy something, you potentially choose not to buy something else (in my case food for a week haha). p.s. I finally got my VF-1S I bought a while back, will post some pics soon. Highlights - as feared the cel is in pretty bad shape (but still makes me happy looking at it) and am not sure if it is stuck to the drawing underneath (will get a professional to look at this at some point). Overall am still very happy as been after anything VF for a while ;) Happy hunting everyone ;)

Hey Guys, Hope you are well - will let you know what its like when it arrives in a few weeks. @jvmacross Got it for £240 GBP/$330 USD including delivery (which I am happy with if the cel is 1/2 decent). The seller is a nice bloke and said he would refund postage if it turned out to not be as much as estimated (think he realized asking $670 USD was a bit much haha). @Fortress_Maximus Thanks very much for the advice - my wife most certainly agrees haha. I have put off buying this stuff for a long time (so as to avoid the aforementioned debt) and am now collecting stuff that I can potentially put up on the wall/in a visible area and enjoy (rather than filed away like some serious hoarder haha). Some people buy paintings, I like this stuff. The only anime I am really interested in is Macross/Robotech and Ghost in the Shell... Would be great to have some Warner Bros/Simpsons/Family guys stuff too but am not going to go there yet as could get nasty ugly quickly @JetJockey I actually bid on a few of the items this past week (assume against a few of you guys haha) but it ended too high for me (also got pretty frustrating when the length of the auction kept on increasing). The reason I took a risk on this cel is that I currently have no Macross Mecha in my collection and to get a VS-1 (Scull Squadron) was just too tempting to pass (even if it does turn out to be a let down I still have a nice frame to put something else in haha).

I have been following this forum for a long while and finally took the time to signup - Hello everyone! Really appreciate you sharing your cels and knowledge on all things Macross/Robotech etc. The opening theme still sends shivers down my spine and takes me back to the 80's. Love the story and the characters - watched the original Macross last year (for the first time) and was trying to piece together what got put into Robotech and what didn't ha ha. Further, have just bought my first cel (will share when it arrives in the post) and am also in the process of acquiring a few Douga's. Will be great to get some feedback on these Other than yahoo JPN and eBay, are there any other sources you guys recommend checking out for cels/dougas? ATB
