  1. Got two for roughly $300 a piece shipped.. not exactly a bargain. We'll see if either place can deliver.
  2. https://www.nin-nin-game.com/en/japanese-import-hobbies-toys-game-character/38147-dx-soul-of-chogokin-volt-in-box-choudenji-machine-choudenji-machine-voltes-v.html
  3. Of all days.. it had to be today/tonight?
  4. It would have been nice if Bandai had a action stand to display the funnels. Oh well. Either way I hope this product line sold well and they release another one like a Sazabi, Zeta, or RX-178. I'd be all over any of those. Hopefully with better articulation and an actual stand that could support it.
  5. @carlsylar What is the weight of just one set installed minus the additional display stand? Does the Nu Gundam feel wobbly with one or both funnel sets installed? What's the fall factor here without the stand propping it up?
  6. I don't think it's possible to have more than dual fin funnel without modifying the connecting piece. The funnels are connected to the backpack using this metal adaptor and there is one for each side. I don't see how another of these could be attached together to extend it without modification.
  7. Let's compromise here and settle for 1/24 scale and in line with Arcadia's Garland.. and that would fit in my case AND be about the same height as a DX VF-1.
  8. My guess would be that that is the access panel to remove the 'Jet Nose' as seen in Episode 2 when Roy rescues Hikaru/Rick.
  9. ^ This guy PO's
  10. I forgot to add https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/ - Hobby Search. Their PO window is quite literally seconds.
  11. You're PO game is strong! Any PO newbies here will get shredded. All other PO veterans will simply pull their pants down and accept their fate.
  12. Thirded! It's not hard at all to get one on release day but it all depends on how much are you willing to pay. I think ~30,000Y is where this will fall on release day not including shipping... unless we're lucky and they over make this thing (which I really hope they do). I think only the Max VF-1A still has a decent after market price. By the way thanks @sqidd for ordering three VF-1S customs from @Red Cometto get Bandai to make this. Somehow that voodoo worked out for the rest of us.
  13. 44,990 Yen which is what I paid FromJapan to order one direct from Arcadia.
  14. That's slightly below MSRP. If you want it, jump on it.
  15. Will do! It can be a rush to get get one at PO night, but chances are extremely high that it's more depressing/rage inducing. Get your alcohol of choice ready. Don't be this guy.
  16. I think they'll charge you 9500 yen in ADDITION to what you already paid but I think I'm just being a pessimist here. 9500 would be consistent with what DeJapan is charging me for FedEx international shipping. I do hope that's the price you get.
  17. @carlsylarMore pics please! It's B.E.A.-utiful! I think I'll copy your pose but leave it firmly attached to the stand since I'm in an earthquake prone area.
  18. I've compiled a list over the years of places I try to purchase a Macross toy. There's no website in the US that will carry these since Harmony Gold puts a stop to it. https://www.amazon.co.jp/ - Amazon Japan - Pay later available but may not be able to ship to your address. Usually the best place to buy and can handle the highest load of customers. Doesn't usually have item right away for pre-order. Seems random when they list. As far as I know they only allowed the Bandai DX VF-1A Max to sell to the US. All other orders weren't allowed without buying through a proxy site. Packaging is a crap shoot. Don't expect a Mint box from them when it arrives. https://www.hlj.com/ - Hobby Link Japan - Crap website for pre-orders. Very hard to get one in once people know about it and will usually crash. Allows pay later option. Will open orders at exactly 4pm JST on pre-order day https://www.amiami.com/eng/ - AmiAmi - Same issues as HLJ.com. Website is slightly faster. Also allows pay later. Will open orders at exactly 4pm JST on pre-order day https://www.nippon-yasan.com/- Nippon Yassan - Very few sold at retail price with pay later option. After their small supply is sold, they start marking up their prices quickly with high shipping costs. Very slow to ship your item though regardless of shipment type you paid for. Pre-Orders don't usually start until 15-40 minutes AFTER 4pm JST on pre-order day. They also have a weird 'ticket' system to limit people on their website. https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/ - CD Japan - Pay up-front. I don't know how people can find links to the items so quickly on this website and once I do find it it's usually sold out already. https://mykombini.com/en/ - My Kombini - Pay up-front. Doesn't usually have item right away for pre-order. Seems random when they list. https://www.kuramatoys.com/ - Kurama Toys - Pay up-front. Doesn't usually have item right away for pre-order. Seems random when they list. http://www.anime-export.com/ - Pay up-front. Opens pre-orders EARLY but won't ship due to pandemic. Occasionally raises prices on Pre-Orders they know will sell well. (Metal Build Evangelion Unit 01 Re-release as an example) https://www.nin-nin-game.com/en/ - Pay up-front. Opens pre-orders EARLY. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/ - Hobby Search. PO window is open for literally SECONDS only before selling out. The positive here is they don't waste your time. I don't know if it's pay up front or pay later. https://www.biginjap.com/ - Pay up-front. I've ordered Bandai DX missiles and Strike packs from there without issue. https://www.dejapan.com/en/ - Proxy Service - Pay Up-front. Low overhead cost but generally high shipping costs. You provide the site you want them to buy from. You pay for shipment when it arrives at their warehouse https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/ - Proxy Service - Pay Up-front. Low overhead cost but generally high shipping costs. You provide the site you want them to buy from. You pay for shipment when it arrives at their warehouse https://www.play-asia.com/ - Play-Asia - Pay later. Cancelled my VF-31E pre-order so.. YMMV https://www.mandarake.co.jp/ - Mandarake - Aftermarket. N/A on pre-orders but great for 1st week + after official release day. One of the Best places to find your collectible. High prices but they are very strict on packaging.

  20. Really? I thought I was going to break my toy when I first rotated the arms out from valk mode to gerwalk/battroid. I think there was some kind of lip that prevented me from doing this smoothly and I've been scared to change it back since. @tekeringIs it super tight here when you do this or are the tolerances a little better/looser? I'm also worried about scratching the paint specifically during this process. Everything else felt good during transformation.
  21. Don't worry. PO night will set you straight and will remind you that you didn't really want this anyways.
  22. When I was younger I used to identify with Max because I thought I was a bad-ass and at the top of my game, but awkward around girls. Now that I'm much older I'm probably a less boastful Kakizaki.. more like cannon fodder based on my actual impact on the world or my sphere of influence.
  23. Wow. I think I'll take your word for it. I would rather live in ignorance than know my awesome VF-31's were part of a crap show. Hell, it's one of the reasons why I can't collect Power Rangers or Transformers...
  24. LOL! Probably wrote 'Strike Pack" on the outside of the package.. Sounds dangerous! We better be safe and blow up that package with explosives!
  25. Damn.. I have one MISB and have been displaying my MOSHOW version. I wasn't aware of any QC or arm issues Now I'll have to pull it out of storage and take a look.
