I'll really have to ignore this thread by now! The more I read and watch Saburo's pics I feel the urge to jump onto the HMR train, too. Not good (for my wallet)!!! And I'm close to get out of display space.

Hey Arbit, nice details concerning 1/144 scale. I'm curious to see your lit up cockpit when finished, I assume it will look great! You made me remember my old AMT Millenium Falcon 1/72 scale I build years ago and stowed away. I made a custom build cockpit, but unfortunately without LEDs. Now thinking about giving the Falcon a lighting upgrade and some panel lining.

But collecting Valkyrie this way is three times harder: You need at least three for display in each mode, then maybe also three for preservation and three as extra of course -
Next Girl Project completed. As mentioned earlier this one comes in Macross color scheme. But not as planned in a Mirage/VF-31C scheme. In the end I couldn’t help it to give her the color scheme of my favorite Valk: YF-25 Prophecy (That concerning Frontier already ten years old but still my favorite ) And of course she has her own flight gear or in Macross wording: She has her own Super/Armored Parts: And finally she even has her own Battroid (Thinking about to give it a matching color scheme):

All black looks great! And yes, the VF-31s' rear landing gear looks weird. Wonder if this design would ever work in reality? Bandai, now I want an all black DX version. For me the VF-31A 1/60 DX is too rare and expensive for doing such a repaint on my own.

Fantastic day today: Having a day off, sun's shining and workbench refill: After 2 months DHL finally managed to deliver my order of Kotobukiya kits from CDJ. Order was shipped midth of February and I already gave up hope it will ever be found again! But together with other arrivals in the past three days the production line is filled up again.

Damn, even the seat looks like it's a much bigger scale, not speaking of those manual pages . That's some awesome job especially as this is 1/72 scale! Could you please stop it? You make me thinking about building 1/72 Macross kits as well. That is not good for my wallet

Today I was able to collect my Kairos at local customs office. It was shipped by CDJapan on March 28th, but after arriving in Germany it was held in customs since April 5th. But finally it's all mine . But the outer right wing has the known quality issue on its lower side .

What about Prototype PLAN303E Deep Striker color scheme? Light and dark grey, red around shoulder and head section and little yellow details. Okay, this one has a heavy loadout, but imho the color scheme would also suit the T'au Coldstar

As DHL still doesn't seem to be capable to deliver my shipment of several Mecha kits within the past 8 weeks (its a horror, contacted the support several times and no positive response yet! Meanwhile I doubt I will ever get it ) I was forced to build a completely new mecha genre as those kits were my last ones in stock now: Armored girls I have to admit they were really fun to build and they look cute and fierce at the same time!. Especially the purple one ("Pretty Armor") out of a chinese production. High quality kit with high fitting accuracy of the parts so I had only little finishing work to do. And most of the molding points of the runners are not on outside positions in contrary to Kotobukiyas' Stylet kit. Here I had a lot more sanding work.

My Kairos has touched ground on Frankfurt Airport this morning (yeah). If the aftermarket prices will stay that high, I think I'll keep it in its box in mint condition as an investment case

Damn, concerning this VF-31A issue I'm a bit worried as I have Mirage's Super parts on pre-order at NY. Hope this is not common practice . But even if your Kairos is shipped other things can go wrong. Currently I have the situation that a package with some model kits have arrived 6 weeks ago and went through customs (took 2 weeks) and still DHL doesn't manage to deliver it to me .

Then you're lucky, it took me 2 years to get one at a reasonable price and without paying high taxes. But was worth the wait. -

Arcadia is pricey, but the VF-0 is a beautiful Valk, so it's worth the cost . Got mine VF-0A two weeks ago, but I was lucky, got it for only 2/3 of your price - OK with no VAT -

Sadly, if you'd like like to sell it (what I do not intend to do in years) customers are not aware of this increase. But to be honest, the personal value of these items for myself is even much higher

Yeah, taxes and fees are a bad thing. I have to deal with that problem here in Germany, too. At this time I have four shipments en route from Japan (The Kairos and 3 containing model kits). I tried to keep values low, so that some of them hopefully slip through customs, but the Kairos definitely won't! So mine will also get a gonvernment-funded increase in value on my cost. And not to mention the increased delivery time until I get informed by customs that I can collect it. The Kairos currently sits on Chubu Airport and so I think it will take 2 weeks until it will touch down in the shelf. All you American buyers: You seem to be really lucky concerning extra fees/taxes and delivery time. So stop complaining so much about the latter one!
