Came back to disregard the hip swing remark. I completely forgot that his hips drop down for full swing. -

Thanks! Honestly I took it out, took that quick shot, and shelved it. Joints seemed nice and tight and per standard good joints and paint/tampo application. I'm impressed. I will say that the hips seemed to have a lack of forward/back range in terms of swing compared to most of the others I've handled. Edit: Came back to disregard the hip swing remark. No... SkyBite is a car robots (Japan)/ Robots in disguise (U.S.) character. The toy is blatantly more designed towards Captain Shark than Skybite (particularaly the alt. mode) so I'm guessing the company (KFC) just designed a cool Captain toy and retooled it into Skybite and a Sharkticon style to sell it to their primary niche.- 9240 replies

Cross posting this because even though it's a retool of a third-party transformer, it's an homage to the Brave Super Robot Mecha Captain Shark:

As someone who displays his bots as bots, I admittedly don't even care. The only part about this one in alt that bugs me is those... things? hanging down in the back and the bot mode is personally a no-contest aesthetically. If I wanted a second to display in alt. mode I know I'd definitely go with another company's though; particularly with the rising secondhand prices on Downbeat.- 9240 replies

Nice! I actually bought Cupola and sold it twice and don't quite miss it enough to buy it a third time... but we'llllll see! Their High Brow, particularly in alt. mode just looks fantastic. I can definitely see it urging people to buy or repurchase the others as well. Honestly the Fansproject Function(x) one was one of my favorites of that line but it got crapped on quite a bit by people.- 9240 replies

Honestly, even keeping Sentinel stuff I like to keep boxes in good order... I literally just stack them up in storage in my basement but it's still nice just to have things come minty and keep them that way (unless obviously I do something to botch it up.) The price if Sentinel items definitely being on the higher end makes more so of a let down than items that may be consider a bit lower end and cheap in general. It particularly stands out when you have items like this where q.c. really isn't on par either and at least personally I have to go, "Just how much cost-cutting are these guys DOING?" I buy two-to-three of all of their products (keeping one stored mint) and I can say they stack more than fine. You're 100x more likely to put a dent or crease in it holding it than stacking them together. ------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: Been meaning to post this for a while but have been wondering why any of the people who can cast, render, and print haven't just recast the visor in clear so that people don't have to modify their original.

The Sentinel boxes used throughout a lot of main lines are the same (off the top of my head I'm thinking Riobot, Re: Edit, and the Truforce MM series) in terms of that really thin, flimsy cardboard used... I never had a problem with the plastic inserts but it's all subjective. My Stick was the only one to where I ever really had any problems with actual box damage as it came packed well from AmiAmi but still had a noticeable dent in one of the upper sides that I can tell was just from it being handled in general. The items themselves are definitely packed well IN the box but for people who are pretty anal about boxes and want to potentially resell as "mint" there's a lot of potential for problems by design.

I honestly think I may go with the official Red Alert just to give them mold differences. Re; Downbeat - it's going to be GREAT to have him back:- 9240 replies

I'm at least going to get the Sideswipe. To me they've improved on a lot of the aesthetic gripes that I have with MP-12 (and why I never repurchased it after getting back into MPs,) albeit the face not being as nice. I think it's going to be a good alternative even though I've been reading a lot of bitching thus far from the fandom. ---------------------------------------------------------- **Finally** re-bought a Downbeat as well. It should be here before week's end. Really excited to have that one back.- 9240 replies

The full review for Iron Factory's IF EX-30 is up! http://kumastyledesigns.com/iron-factory-cygnus-review/ Overall it's one of the finest Legends-scaled figures I've ever laid eyes or hands on. Fantastic build, sculpt, and articulation that honestly puts it on par with pieces like those in the MakeToys Cross-Dimension line. The review breaks it down, but here are a few pics from the gallery: A size comparison mockup as well:- 9240 replies
