  1. Same boat. ---------------------------- Kind of random but I got in those replacement parts for MT Cupola today... they really dohelp. The wheels aren't popping off anymore, the foot flaps click and stay in place, the tops of the feets aren't falling off... for 6 bucks shipped from MT direct and a week from there to here it's a great purchase.
  2. Companies like UniqueToys have actually made transforming movieverse figures that are accurate in both modes soooooo... yea. Anyways, I'm not huge on Bayverse designs but the ones I like, I love. Knight Optimus is one of my favorite Optimus primes of all time design-wise and I much prefer the movie Bumblebees to the G1 cartoon but again those are two out of however many movie characters there are.
  3. Had it since last year but finally actually got to take the Comicave studios Optimus off the shelf and mess with it. Huge, Diecast goodness it is.
  4. @M'Kyuun Yea man; I'm extremely excited for it. Just hate that it's probably going to make me hunt down Frenzy the second I get it in hand haha. @David Hingtgen Honestly I could see Third Parties caring less like you said particularly not having to worry about licensing with the car companies and appeasing them. I appreciate that insight. ------------------------
  5. Honestly I'm at a point to where I don't think Transformers in general are for fans of cars and car models because by nature they're just never "perfect" like scale models and the like. This conversation will happen (and does) for literally every Masterpiece-scaled piece which is fine but at some point something's got to give. ------------------------------------------- I actually took you guys' advice and purchased Occular Max Jaguar about 1.5 weeks ago but even being EMS it hasn't updated from processed in Guanzhou on the 16th. I have a registered air piece from Hong Kong that shipped out the 20th and will be here tomorrow. Very odd. Giving it a few days before shooting Planet Steel an email but overall very weird.
  6. Hey thanks, man.. and yea I think it's a situation to where if you don't have a sideswipe this is an easy choice but if you have an official even though this is better it's not really quite enough to warrant double-dipping and trying to sell the OG at a loss unless you just plain want a better fit with the newer officials.
  7. The full review for BadCube's OTS-14 SteamRoll is up. http://kumastyledesigns.com/badcube-steamroll-review/ This one was a fun one to break down as it's definitely a piece with its highs and lows. The review goes into good depth but overall I'd say it's a solid piece and good buy but not likely to be the last SideSwipe figure you'll purchase even if a better one is years out. Here are some pics from the gallery portion:
  8. The windows making up the underside of his forearm is a pretty standard sideswipe attribute. I dig it but I guess i'm also used to it since it's common. For me when it comes to a lot of the fine detailing can stay gone on these. I want a shelf full of things that look like the cartoons have jumped out of the TV onto my shelf so i'm team plain Jane all day lmao
  9. I prioritize the written/pictorial reviews but yea both will be up Thursday morning (as always, appreciate your support kind sir!) And honestly, I think it's worth the "hype" (using loosely because the figure is actually damned good.) Whether it's because you want a more fitting piece to pair with Streaker or just like toon looks better in general, there's a lot of positives to switching over to this one from Takara, IMO (even though the Takara is "fine.")
  10. Don't get a lot of transformers nowadays but Badcube sent over their SideSwipe and it's purrdy.
  11. Hey; thanks guys. Nice to start the week with reading some positive feedback!
  12. Got the full review and galla up for Sentinel's Re:Edit 13 Howard Armor. http://kumastyledesigns.com/sentinel-house-of-m-howard-review/ This is one of the most bizarre productions runs I've ever seen for one of the best figures I've ever owned. The review linked gives the full breakdown but here are a few pics from the gallery: Here's my personal favorite; a recreation of the House of M Chapter 3 "Doomsday" cover featuring Re:Edit 12 House of M Tony Stark as well:
  13. Got the Figuarts Frieza 2.0 yesterday. I like it quite a bit.
  14. Yea. I'm doing some job trainings this week in a whole other city so it puts things in a whack hobby-wise... and I feel like Takara will certainly be anouncing a "redo" but the original still looks fine in the sense that it's a great toy homage; just horrible when put next to the new toon-accurate direction.
