  1. I don't think so at all. Howard's voice and inflections are the same in every role he plays and just fits better with roles based around his style than him having to go outside of his range. I feel the same way about Denzel Washington for example; phenomenal actor but by-and-large is essentially the same character doing different things in the majority of his movies. Anyways, back to toys. ---------------------------------------------- The War Machine Mk III is pretty darned impressive. It really feels like a more improved Iron Man XLVI frame in that it does everythng that suit does but ends up with much more range like the ab crunch for example. The heft of it is out of control and the accessories are such a damned complete package. I really like this one.
  2. I actually like Terrance Howard quite a bit but I have a real fondness for the Rhodes character which Howard did not fit a single bit in terms of look or even the way he carries himself. He's one-dimensional.
  3. Thanks brother... and it's funny because even though I'm not the biggest fan of Cheadle as Rhodes a friend brought up the possibility of having Terrance Howard still playing him.... and needless to say I have a renewed sense of thanks for Cheadle taking this on, particularly thinking about sitting here looking at a Hot Toy of Terrance Howard in the suit.
  4. Went and picked up the War Machine Mk III this morning and it's just goddamned incredible.
  5. Anyone here own the War Machine Mk III? Looking at going and picking it up tomorrow and would like some thoughts.

  7. The knee joints don't glide between. In general, that's not a "thing" with the metal build toys because of the knee joint being a solid diecast piece and not having a sliding mechanism. 2.) The 3p stand is awesome. Just in case you aren't familiar, it's 1:1 with the Gundam Metal Build ones in terms of the stand itself but the storage spaces are new. 3.) Honestly it reminds me a lot of the SRW OG designs but even with Super Robot Wars there are design bits taken from all over the mecha spectrum. And just for the sake of debate you can't really quotation the word original as if used loosely unless there's a specific mo ile suit you can say it looks like... I'd say it'd be pretty hard to design a mech in general that didn't take cues from a single other bot in this day and age, ha. I appreciatectje feedback and questions, man! If you do end up picking it up I'm really looking forward to your opinions too!
  8. Alright, so got the full breakdown article and gallery for CCSToys' Thunderbolt up on Kuma Style. http://kumastyledesigns.com/ccstoys-thunderbolt-review/ Article gives a by-category breakdown but overall I gave it an 8.5/10. I think that in terms of both aesthetic and quality this really stands up to and even exceeds a lot of other high-end real robot products like Bandai's Metal Builds. It looks great, is well built, and the articulation is solid. It's a genuinely "fun" piece to play with and that in and of itself is refreshing. Here are a few pictures from the gallery portion;
  9. The game is by Rocketpunch games and basically looks like a Metal Slug styled game using real robots and at times the pilots themselves. It's been years since the kickstarter but it looks to finally be coming out this year for PC and PS4. Here's the latest build trailer as of March 2019 Personally I can't wait. I still play Armored Warriors on Fightcade like it's new so this will be a welcome addition. There are a good number of licensed collectibles coming too from companies like CCSToys and Earnestcore Craft in both the SD game type and regularly-proportioned. https://mobile.twitter.com/rocketpunchgame/status/1025660209933385728/photo/3 Definitely neat stuff and cool to see higher-ended, diecast homages right off the bat.

  11. @no3Ljm Thank you for giving your thread the appropriate title. Going forward being specific would probably help because if you don't specify brands it on paper is a general. Thank you in advance.
  12. Got the full breakdown article and gallery up for the Hot Toys Captain America Concept Art Ver. posted to Kuma Style. http://kumastyledesigns.com/hot-toys-captain-concept-review/ Article breaks it down by category but overall this is a 7/1o for me. It's darned good but feels like an incomplete package not coming with an unmasked head or shield holster clip for the back (I actually used a paperclip for photos.) With those things and maybe some more room for articulation range in the pants this would have definitely been a 9 at least. Here are some picture from the gallery portion:
