Because it was from the last video and I forgot to change it out for lord-knows-what reason. I'm debating whether or not to reprocess and reupload it because it's hard to justify another 8 hour upload over a 5 second intro pic.

Awesome, awesome shot, B! Review is all done and I'm just waiting for the videos to finish uploading, but here's a size comparison shot from the gallery which was requested.

Yea. I'm recording the video review in a few minutes, actually. I'm doing the transformation video separately so that I can actually go through slowly and explain it. Don't worry too much because I was in the EXACT same position as you until I found that trick so hopefully there's something I maybe missed trying to explain it verbally that will shine through when I do it on tape that helps.

Parts being ill-fitting and falling off left and right indicates poor quality control...

Sentinel really doesn't re release things. There are three re releases I can think of; The xT-Rex Black and Red Getters with new paint decos, the Sentinel Re:Edit Bleeding Edge armor which was the first release that got another run once the line got popular, and the Giant Gorg which I've read was just them shipping some overstock to retailers. Not saying "never" but if you want these I'd get them because it's becoming common that the "I'll wait for clearance" crowds are becoming the "WTF IS WITH THESE SECOND HAND PRICES?!??!" crowds in short order now that Sentinel has picked up a lot more support and their stuff just doesn't warehouse warm until HLJ sales as it did years ago.

It's not. I found a trick. Pull out the lower, diecast bar first and use the upper half on that to pull it up and out. It separates smooth as butter that way where trying to separate it at the connection point itself felt like a 110% chance of breakage.

Copying and pasting what I wrote on another board: "New "So... got this thing transformed tonight. Honestly, the transformation itself is really quick and more straightforward than the instructions seem. The problem comes when you actually have it together because sooooo much keeps falling apart. the "pistons" in particular are two tight so the forearm blasters and hip armor come apart when trying to move the arms and legs at ALL. For lack of a better term, trying to play with this thing in armored mode in any way, shape or form, is a horrible experience and this is honestly one of the most fiddly, q.c.-ridden pieces I've messed with in some time. It's a shame that it came from my favorite company."

I own 100% of their Riobot, Re:Edit, Metamor-Force, and xT-Rex lines as well as all of their partner produced Truforce ,Flame Toys TF, and Armarauders stuff. Their Re: Edit Iron man stuff is pretty nice in terms of frame and engineering. Their biggest q.c. issue to me is the "armor" on them. Very thin plastic with paint that isn't sealed/protected well and glued on fairly poorly. I remember my Red x Gold coming with straight up fingerprints embedded into the gold paint on the thighs. In general they're fun and I think the biggest thing most would have to worry about is armor pieces just plain falling off which you can just glue back on. Edit: Forgot to touch on the variance question and yes, I've found that the metamor-force and xT-Rex pieces are much better than the rest while I'd say the Iron Man and Tatsunoko Fighting heros are mid tier and Riobot is the most fragile and q.c. prone.

I literally am completing on most of Sentinel's main lines and can say that in general they make "designer" pieces that are a lot more fragile and less user friendly than other diecast brands. This is one of the worst I've owned in that area.

Not offended. I asked earlier and was told that this although SOC in title was a diecast general thread.

It's a generic Sentinel stand that seriously comes with like 90% of their figures.

Now that we've all been told that telling someone something very clearly/straightforward is "passive aggressive" amongst a litany of other word-twisting, I'm getting this back on track. Here's a couple of preliminary photos of the Sentinel 1.12 Stig (Mospeada.) This is a diecast piece in terms of the bike/armor and the figure is fully-articulated as well. I have yet to transform it as there are a lot of more fragile-looking parts;

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'll give it a try today, then.

I'll say on my end between the piece being "fiddly" and the instructions looking very... hard? I'm really afraid to even attempt the transformation at this point. I hate sounding negative but it's a piece to where it feels like something is just prone to break. Also, the left shin gaurd with the "MB" on it keeps falling off. The other one is fine. I don't know if I should add a bit of polish to that ball joint or just glue it. It doesn't seem like there's any actual movement in that part anyways.

Alright so opened it and got some initial shots in... it's going to be a bit before I attempt transforming this thing... just lots of small, fiddly parts on the bike and it's pretty intimidating to jump into.

I'm sitting here with it unboxed just waiting to take it out of the clamshell and the presentation is fantastic. I've seen some comparison pics but it's still bigger than I thought in hand. I think post review I'll definitely be doing the paint removal from behind his face plate. Hoping Rei ships pretty soon into May.

Nope. It was a very general statement referring to no one in particular besides MYSELF and what I'd come off as being critical. Again; your response had such a significant amount of things misread/ill-comprehended that it wasn't even worth a response because it'd be an equally over-elongated post of me doing just this, repeating and breaking everything I've previously written; and that point it's just treading water for honestly no reason besides spam. This is my last response as I won't even see anything further of yours. You were not at all insulted or treated rudely even in response to you having been both. In fact when you posted pictures a few pages back I believe I was pretty nice and tried to be encouraging because at the end of the day that's why I'm here. I collect bots, love seeing people's bots, and love talking about them and the series which they come from. All of that arguing and all-mighty nonsense is for the birds.

Here are a couple of lesser-known Chogokin pieces but I'm sure at least some of you guys are familiar with the mecha Racaseal from Phantasy Star Online. Here are the Regular and "dark" versions. Honestly these have some of the best and most useful diecast placement I've seen on a Gokin piece as it sincerely helps with the balancing; particularly on the Dark variant and her large umbrella:

@ZorClone At this point I think you're the one "overreacting" and I'm not going to repeat the same thing 15 ways (because your response indicates a significant amount of misreading) and literally spam up the thread with off-topic nonsense for the sake of humoring it. You said what you said, and I responded in turn which seems to have put you in some sort of adverse state. If you'd like to respond for the sake of having last word though; it's all yours. ----------------------------------- Back to topic: In terms of Obari mecha, one that really gets overlooked (IMO) is Orgun and personally I feel that it shares some design similarities with Tekkaman which I **believe** released in a similar time frame. Personally, I've always thought it was a superior design and really wish it saw more love in terms of collectibles. Product used below is the Sentinel Riobot 09. I'd love a diecast one that was a bit larger in scale but I think this may be the best we ever get :(. ------------------------------------------------------------ Another piece that I'm really looking forward to and in fact comes tomorrow is the Sentinel Riobot Mospeada. I'm reading some reports about q.c. issues though so I'm kind of waiting with "baited breath" as I think the term goes.

Thirded on thanking you for the impressions. It's unfortunate about the armor. How is does it "feel" overall to you? Like a quality product? In my experience, Sentinel stuff at times can feel bit "frail" in comparison to other robot toy brands.
