  1. I have the same error, just upload onto an image hosting service like imgur and copy the image address into your post, it'll hotlink.
  2. Nice. I've only ever seen the two Pris versions, did they make them for any of the others, or just her?
  3. Yup, came with a spike in the clamshell with the stand, and another one already inside the ball cockpit.
  4. Pictures that I finally got uploaded:
  5. My Eva 02 is coming from USA Gundam Store, so I'll be waiting for a bit, but in the meantime got a few other things instead. These were actually a gift from a Japanese acquaintance through my job, he was in the area for sales and graciously brought me a gift from The Gundam Base. The tin is chocolate chip cookies, gundam base branded of course. This is a model kit from Bubblegum Crisis, Pris' hardsuit and motoslave. Looks fairly old, but ought to be a fun build. This is the GoodSmile 1/48 Swordfish II. It's big, and looks quite good. Not the heft of a DX VF-1, but it's got some very nice weathering applied, which puts it worlds ahead of the soul of popynica version. It also has lighting.
  6. So just got home after picking it up. First impressions: looks good, the weathering is quite well done. It's not a gunk wash, or the painted on stuff they sometimes use on eaglemoss kits, it's the very even and the same finish as the rest of the Swordfish. You can tell from the weight and feel that it's plastic with diecast pieces (landing gear, the various hinges which are nice and sturdy, and also fairly stiff) and not a diecast figure with plastic. It has all the various articulations engine pod pivots up thrust reversers close wingtip stabilizers will pivot wings fold up into storage position landing gear has zero parts-swapping, it all folds up inside and will stay extended without issue ball cockpit will even tilt, however it can only do this while the landing gear is out gun will swing left/right, pretty much 360 (though the wing stabs will get in the way unless they're folded up) bottom fin under the engine pivots to the side for ground clearance. Lighting looks good, initially thought my engine light didn't work, but you need to press the nozzle to turn it on, only the lights are always on. Battery compartment is easy to get to, and the switch is inside there. Getting the cockpit open to put the ball inside was a bit hard, the slide for the hinge is SUPER stiff. Likewise getting the gun attached took a bit of pressure, as did folding the wings. Also unfolding the rear landing gear was quite stiff, as were the thrust reversers. All in all, it looks great. Definitely not a low-cost masterpiece like the DX VF-1 though. [edit] I have some pictures, but I get error -200 when I upload them, I'll put them up once I've hosted elsewhere.
  7. I prefer "Duel! parallel trouble adventures" as far as old giant robot shows go (and yes, it's an Eva ripoff done as a comedy), but the MB evas, and the new movies are certainly purdy. Can't wait till my 02 comes in from USA Gundam Store in a month or two.
  8. If I wasn't relatively sure that there's another version in the pipeline, I'd probably get a second from you guys. Unfortunately I'd already placed a pay-upfront/no-cancellation proxy order. I'm rooting for you guys to become the US face of P-Bandai, I'd love to not have to use a proxy for so much of that stuff.
  9. Fluctuation of the yen, and I'm including shipping. Mine through NY was ¥46,700 with shipping, or roughly $430 through my card w/o currency change fees. At HLJ it's base price of ¥49,600, plus shipping.
  10. They'd look much less weird if they were on the sides or not curly (like the 31) rather than front and center. But that's just my opinion.
  11. Why do the stormtroopers have Pedipalps?
  12. That's my theory, they've also been reducing the availability of "pay later" options. Given how many people were essentially bypassing NY's "no cancellations" policy by just not paying, I can't say I'm surprised. Especially considering the VF-0D is something that they can't skip out on their own orders for, has a high chance of being cancelled by NY's customers, and costs almost $500.
  13. Crotch fabric looks kinda crappy, but the rest looks good. How's the articulation and build quality?
  14. Give Molotow Liquid Chrome a shot. I use it when building models, and it'll actually come out a very nice chrome. Unfortunately it dries slow and is damaged easily, so best used in areas that aren't touched.
  15. Looks like Amazon Japan's shipped mine out, ought to show up this week.
  16. Ah, thought someone was getting a prep email from NY, it was just another VF-1S. My mistake.
  17. Using a credit card directly with no foreign transaction fees is one of those things you learn in this hobby. Saves cash on currency conversions, and allows much longer chargebacks as well as better customer service than PayPal.
  18. Still waiting on my strike parts arriving at FJ, once they do I can finally ship the November stuff as well.
  19. Don't worry with FromJapan, they will not take your money and run, they're very trustworthy. Going past 6months is not uncommon, only worry about it when you're not dealing with a reputable seller.
  20. 1/144 is the same scale as Bandai High-Grade/Real-Grade, and roughly the same scale as Robot Damashii figures. Metal Build is around 1/100, or Master-Grade.
  21. I'd rather have it late than have another exploding leg or SV-51 mismatched foot issue. I guess this means the only thing my proxy shipping is waiting on now is the strike parts.
  22. It's pretty straightforwards, only complicated part is understanding to give the legs a half-turn to expose the screw. Also be sure to get a properly sized (precision) screwdriver with a good grip, as there's a lot of resistance on the screw, both coming out and going back in.
  23. Looks like still available. I'd grab one but already have an order via a proxy.
  24. Might be due to larger production volumes, more things likely to slip through the cracks (especially if it was increased after the initial run was slated).
  25. Someone has one on the for sale forum, $250+ shipping.
