  1. This reads like an April Fool's joke. This will either be comedy gold or a trainwreck of epic proportions.
  2. Interesting, is that actually from Steel Legends? If not, is it assembled/painted, or just raw plastic/resin?
  3. Buy in yen using a card without foreign exchange fees, cuts the price a lot.
  4. Probably the ugliest ship in the entire expanded Star Trek universe, and they made it one of the Enterprises.
  5. FYI: Unopened Regult Missile set at Mandarake for ¥24,000 https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1128417393&ref=list&keyword=regard&lang=en
  6. I personally just detail-paint individual parts, then matte topcoat after assembly. Just a topcoat does wonders for the appearance of the model.
  7. I just want something that poses and looks good, while still being recognizable. I don't need perfect anime accuracy, usually I can't even remember how long the wings attached to the legs are supposed to be (as an example). I just know that having them Yamato length makes posing the thing a pain.
  8. FWIW, the end of next month thing is a placeholder until they have the actual release date. Standard practice at NY, most other retailers don't list a day of the month until Bandai gives one (typically around the start of the month).
  9. Capital One Signature also works. Pick one based on the rewards. In my case looked for a while to find one where I could get cash back directly rather than travel rewards (since I don't travel).
  10. Well, can ship 8x at a time through HLJ, the real question is how big the boxes are and how many will fit inside a SAL box. Might end up being only around $2k-$2200.
  11. Warning: getting that gun on it is a TIGHT fit.
  12. Same, then again the company I work for sells the finished product for 7 figures. Some of my individual parts end up being over $1000 per, and not even as one-offs. Actually, my version would probably be made of machined 6061T6, have a bunch of adjustments, and cost, well more than the Hachette subscription.
  13. Could be down to part tolerances, or sliding the arms into the right position so the peg has friction. Speaking from a mechanical design perspective, dealing with slip-fit tolerances is a gigantic PITA.
  14. Purchase through a proxy like Buyee or FromJapan. They will place the bid, receive the item via domestic shipping, and handle the international shipping.
  15. Total price on all 100 issues for HLJ is: 202,270yen
  16. I'm going to say Bandai wins Battroid mode, the Yamato is definitely designed for fighter above all else, and the legs in Battroid are a skinny floppy mess.
  17. Weird, I haven't tried them in fighter mode personally but I wonder what exactly is making the arms pop off, the armor seems to tab on super securely to those at least.
  18. KVM switches would be configured like so: Keyboard, mouse, and monitor plugged into switch. Desktop PC plugged into switch (USB and video) Laptop (or docking station) plugged into switch (USB and video) Switch will let you swap the monitor/keyboard/mouse from laptop to desktop without unplugging and re-plugging. You would obviously still need to plug the laptop into the switch or docking station though, not much way around that unless you want to remote into the laptop through LAN via your desktop or something.
  19. Nevermind, looks like physical KVM switches still suck or are super expensive.
  20. Well, HLJ cost is lower than going through tenso, guess I'll order them that way instead.
  21. Personally I have a whole shelf of radome valks (VE-1, RVF-171, RVF-25, VF-31E). Just needs a VF-11 w/dome to be complete.
  22. Most of those are irrelevant for figures.
  23. Messer/hayate was a re-release for the most part. Dunno why people don't like chuck.
  24. Korean "Robotec" chunky? Interesting.
