  1. Well darn, I'd like to be able to get a white pair for replacements on the weathered 1/60 Roy I have coming from Jungle. I guess I'll use the shapeways parts.
  2. I'd say also any toys which are only "good" due to age/nostalgia, and are objectively god-awful compared to modern efforts. (Obviously not including modern toys which are god-awful, like VF100s).
  3. FWIW, the Bandai transforming 1/72 valkyries are actually quite solid. At least the SV-262 and VF-31, the VF-25 and VF-27 aren't quite as good. The VF-1 is, unfortunately, garbage as far as transforming and articulation goes, but it is arguably more of a "perfect" transformation than pretty much anything else.
  4. You can get everything in line with fast packs, but it takes some massaging to get it all snapped together just right.
  5. If Arcadia ever makes a TV SDF-1 I'm sending one LEK's way.
  6. I suspect they're saving the Tomahawk for last, for some reason.
  7. Pretty sure they aren't, I've been inside one of their stores during golden week.
  8. Quality means different things to different people when it comes to figures. For some it's weight/heft, for some accuracy to various manuals or on-screen depictions, for some it's aesthetic appeal, for some durability, or ease/quality/accuracy of transformation, or articulation, or other measures.
  9. SV-262, though the model kit has a much better transformation. Also the YF-21 from Yamato may look awesome in fighter mode, but it's pretty lacking in Battroid. Not that I blame Yamato, what with the unprecedented levels of anime magic involved in that particular VF.
  10. Unlikely. My pre-order through a proxy was $75 up-front, plus $11 in domestic shipping/proxy fees, plus whatever international shipping is (w/o markup). For the Launcher Striker.
  11. Honestly, it only took 2 weeks to show up in the US, probably not much reason to wait on shipping the Sazabi.
  12. I imagine with so many fewer people able to receive their shipments, NY isn't nearly as backlogged on getting stuff out the door as usual?
  13. Warning, as it's a Sazabi the articulation isn't super good, and it's pretty light (like at best 1/2 the weight of the Kshatriya), but damn if it doesn't look good. Also those metal joints are freaking TIGHT, try to loosen them up before assembly, lest you crack some plastic on accident.
  14. Got my 3rd party Sazabi earlier this week. It's closer to a customized MG w/ metal joints than a Metal Build.
  15. Latest update I can find is a March 16th tweet announcing further postponement, but no specific release date.
  16. Direct link to the P-Bandai pages, for those wanting to go through a proxy: Blue Frame: https://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000144377 Launcher Striker: https://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000144541 Aile Striker: https://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000144542
  17. Well, you're half-right, and half-wrong. Emissivity is actually highest for black, and lowest for white. However the same is also true for absorption. Ideally you want anything facing the sun to be light and reflective, but anything not facing the sun should be black and have as large of a surface area as possible to radiate excess heat more efficiently.
  18. Need the buster at least, and probably the sword as well. Fortunately I have the Aile Strike already, so that'll be it until they make a perfect-strike pack.
  19. I think my VF-0D is Ferry, since I have another coming in via FromJapan. That one's going to sting some on the shipping.
  20. Does Bandai even still have license to anything from Macross 7? Last things they made were the Hi-Metal VF-19 figures.
  21. Best girl of Delta is damning with faint praise indeed.
  22. For stuff like that, I'd just go with an inkwash rather than something like chipping or dry-brushing.
  23. Easiest explanation? Standardized paint colors. If it's not environment specific, why wouldn't everything be painted using the same shades if the same organization is buying the paint?
  24. Yeah, definitely less than 2KG. It's big, but mostly plastic. The metal parts are specifically high-load joint areas. It's quite light really.
