  1. Oh yes, now I know where I'm putting my Shin F14
  2. Personally I'm the opposite. I much prefer to transform the DX compared to my Arcadia valks. Feels more sturdy, much more poseable. Did you make sure you pushed the legs all the way onto the pegs? They do snap into place flush (well, 1mm gap) and the backpack/arms/legs all fit pretty solidly once that's sorted.
  3. I'd suggest using a friction joint, with a bolt, spacer, and washers. Lets you loosen and tighten the joint, and keeps the friction to between metal parts.
  4. Wings line up fine on all 6 of my DX VF-1s...
  5. Well, if you ever find a spare series 2 VFC, I'll trade you a set of the Movic stuff for it?
  6. Unfortunately, I kinda doubt we'll see any more Macross II stuff for a while, given the aftermarket pricing and long shelf-life of the VF-2SS.
  7. I think I actually may have a spare 1/200 VFC Roy. I ended up with 2 full sets, and am parting one of them out. I ended up picking up a lot of Gachapon type stuff from Mandarake and YJA a while ago. And I do mean a lot, I have like 7 sealed boxes of Bandai fighter blind-boxes. [edit] Checked, and I was thinking of the Movic/Kaiyodo gacha figures. Which I absolutely do have spares of. Unfortunately for VFC I only have Set 1, not set 2.
  8. I have their SV-262 and VF-31S offerings. They require glue in a few places. Most is just snap or peg together. It's pretty easy to assemble, the only hard part is removing the parts from the sprue and trimming the gate marks.
  9. Yup, I paid over $20 more (with the pre-order discount) ordering it directly. Slightly higher base price, and $25 for shipping, rather than $5. Ought to get it faster at least, and don't have to go thru Flying Mule if there are issues.
  10. Well, BBTS isn't exactly wrong. I mean, we all know it's the M0 F-14. That's why we want it.
  11. He's not, it actually does work. Sun-bleaching.
  12. Might also be that Bandai saw how well the Roy pre-orders went and upped the production count and gave retailers increased allotments.
  13. I now have a mental image of the VF-0D rocking left and right while waddling forward on it's thruster-feet. Like one of those animals in bad claymation features.
  14. The secret is most of their shipping is marked up, because that's part of where they get their profit from.
  15. It is frakking amazing.
  16. Nay, NY just holds off on shipping for so long you cancel your PO yourself, for store credit.
  17. ¥23,000 ¥25,300 with 10% tax.
  18. Worst case, have them ship it to a Tenso address, and then forward via Tenso?
  19. Tempting, but I already have the 2.0 MG filling that particular hole in my collection. Looks good though.
  20. When Yeti's back in business I need to make an order, finally. Kept putting it off, but my display cases just can't hold everything anymore unless I improve the stand situation.
  21. It's actually an upcoming Calibre Wings release, with a Macross Zero paintjob.
  22. The 1J was a weird one, as it was relatively easy to pre-order, and then the price went sky-high after release. Which is quite simply explained: it was a new line, lots of people already had 1/60 and 1/48 VF-1 figures from Yamato/Arcadia. Only after it released and people were generally amazed with it did the price go up, and the follow-up 1/48 DX VF-1 figures get scalped to high heaven. Apart from the 1J, the 1A and the 1S followed the same pattern as the VF-31 figures: pre-order sells out quickly, prices spike, but then prices come back down closer to release. For the 31 figures (and to a lesser extent the 1A) they were even available after release at MSRP for some time in several cases, despite massive scalping markups right after pre-orders sold out.
  23. Or just buy one from a desperate scalper off Amazon Japan closer to release, once the price starts falling again. Which it will. Happened with every DX VF-1 so far, aside from the 1J which wasn't scalped much to begin with.
  24. Based on every single DX release in the time I've been collecting (since before Delta), the scalper prices will go down as we get closer to release. So don't panic and buy at a markup people, just chill and worst case you can buy on release day or shortly thereafter for at worst what scalpers are asking now.
  25. Pretty much, so I wait. Debating if I want to shell out for domestic shipping and more proxy fees to combine it with something from Jungle via Tenso.
