Arcadia 1/60 VF-4A ‘Flashback 2012’ Premium Finish & Regular Release
Sanity is Optional replied to no3Ljm's topic in Toys
If you want a VF-4 for cheap, grab the normal version off Amazon Japan. ¥28,200 for international buyers, plus shipping. https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B08DS56FMS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1- 1112 replies

Short version, as I understand it, is that Wonfest is able to hand out day/weekend licenses for IP such as Macross. It's a way for garage kit makers and other "grey" parts of the Japanese hobby world to create and sell products without getting sued.

Those have been a thing for a while now, the primary makers of them though are a bit too...anatomically accurate for most buyers. -
Yup, only one when I grabbed it. The power of web-monitoring software once again kicks my wallet in the teeth.
-
That's better. One popped up on AJ "fulfilled by Amazon". ¥23,891 (after tax removed), with ¥2587 DHL shipping. Yoink.
-
Well, ended up cancelling my order through AJ. Not going to pay ¥4500 for surface shipping, with limited insurance.
-
Tampo greebles.

So, the seller I bought from* has 2 more up, same price, same shipping. However, the seller contacted me and said that since EMS isn't available to the states, could he ship it via Surface. So be aware, that if you buy from "イロハ堂[午後16時までにご注文確定で消毒・除菌をして365日福岡県から即日発送!!]." and in an area without EMS service, you may be stuck with Surface or a cancellation. On the other side of things, my Kakizaki from FromJapan shipped out via FedEx, and ought to be here in a few days.

If we get any for my work I'll post pics. Currently we're using sets of 3 2080s for image analysis. -
That's the price including tax. Shipping internationally removes the tax and brings it down to ¥23,900.
-
There was one seller, with exactly one available. So I decided to just go for it.
-
Well, I broke down and ordered a second via Amazon Japan. ¥28,400 shipped. Not terrible, considering that ¥4500 of that was the shipping cost.

For those prices I will gladly exchange this 5700XT for a 3060. I figured I'd give ATI a shot, and I regret it. -
Arcadia 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-0D for 2015

Looks like it's back again, if someone else is tempted. -
Apparently that's the special black color version, whereas the normal one is red/purple.
-
I suppose at least this time they included stickers to cover their screw-up. And also for the other valks.
-
Nice, just got notification my Kakizaki arrived at my proxy. At the same time as the Auction I won. Though the $90 FedEx shipping hurts a bit.
-
For reference: my second PF VF-0D from NY shipped out via ferry on 6/29 and hasn't hit US shores yet. The last one I got before that via ferry was ~2months.
-
Pretty sure it's this: https://tsm-wing.com/product-detail.php?pd=65 I got one a while ago from Flying Mule (free with another purchase).

Macross General SCOOPUDA thread

Personally I prefer the various series with music by Yoko Kanno (Plus, Frontier). 7 wasn't bad, and would probably rate higher if I hadn't marathoned it listening to Planet Dance over and over and over and over and over. Delta, the music was Jpop, and decent Jpop (as far as I could tell), but it just never meshed with the action on screen the way Frontier and Plus did. -
I suspect that part of it is that Kickstarter just isn't a thing when it comes to Japanese companies.
