    Pay on release, ability to combine shipping with other HLJ purchases (and shipping fees make that very worthwhile these days), and the availability of surface shipping. Probably break-even at best though, given the upcharge at HLJ.

    Yup, price comes down a smidge if you buy in Yen using a card with free currency conversion. In my case I blew a 20% off coupon on it, brought it right around the Arcadia webstore price.

    I've always wanted one of those huge ridiculous Star Wars ELGO sets. Missed the millennium falcon and the death star, figured this was probably my last shot at one not from the prequels/sequels.

    Tried for a PF Roy VF-1, instantly out of stock. Oh well. They still have the PF VF-0S and VF-0D available. No joy on the VF-0S normal or either of the SDF-1s though.

    Well, HLJ is pretty much the only place they're available where they claim that their stock has been checked as good by Arcadia. Plus if there is a problem, hopefully they still have some fix kits available.

    Nah, never watched the super robot shows as a kid, so no nostalgia value, and not a big fan of the aesthetic. I've been waiting for an excuse to get another SV-51 though, and I already had the 2 kits and the MetalBuild on order. Just cancelled and re-ordered to get the discount on em. Also apparently the MG Barbatos just came back into stock. Plus I'm getting the Hachette sub through HLJ, so there's always something I'll be paying to ship anyway.

    You have to either use a proxy, or get a Japanese forwarding address. Ive had something from them shipped through a Tenso address before without issue.

    Well, I guess I’ll bite for one from HLJ. After the coupon code I have it’s slightly cheaper than Arcadia webstore, plus pay later and combined shipping. [edit] Well, HLJ extracted my discount code, which I suspect was part of their expectation with that markup.

    Looks like they're going to be putting the VF-0 armor kit on sale, or giving it out as freebies with any VF-0S purchase.

    The Klan VFG seems to have sold really well. On Mandarake they're going for ¥12,000 which is quite a bit over both MSRP and pre-order prices. I hope they do a tornado VF-25F with Sheryl next after Ranka. As to the Ranka costume, as I recall the whole point of that montage in the series was Ranka doing very low-end idol/advertising work.

    The Hi-Nu, but yeah there was a teaser graphic for it. No dates yet or even prototype images as far as I'm aware.

    They do for a short time after it hits your PW. After that short period, they'll charge a restocking fee. Even with the fee, might still be cheaper to avoid the shipping costs.

    You can ask HLJ to cancel it, and instead buy from USA Gundam Store using the 20% off pre-order code. Just means you'll have to wait a bit.

    The PG Unleashed is likely the issue. They wanted over $100 to ship the MGEX I had on order. Ended up getting it from Amazon Japan.

    HLJ probably got some excess stock from a distributor or another store. Since they list several items as available 3-5 days, they've got some sort of channel for getting extra stock as needed.

    It would be nice if they'd ease up on the general armor+panties aesthetic that seems commonplace when it comes to mechagirls... Would it kill them to have pants/shorts/spats?

    Maybe they realized that the ones where it's actually a Macross girl sell better than the ones with generic girls.

    Sounds about right. Also, it always irked me when the characters would suddenly go on long monologues that wouldn't feel out of place in an old philosophy book. The show is decent, but I really do not see why so many people think it's the best thing ever. Seems very reminiscent of Lost, in that it's more the reveal of secrets that make people keep following the show. As far as Spider, I'm having too much fun watching Yuuki Aoi ranting at the world and herself, when she's not doing the odd chuunibyou gag. The animation/scene composition for the human parts of the show is pretty goddamn hideous, but the actual plot/conversations on that side are definitely more interesting in the anime than they were in the manga/LN. I am very much looking forward to some of the upcoming stuff though.

    1/60 Weathered Roy, with the cracked shoulder joints yeah. Not surprised they want it out of their storage already.
