Oh interesting, they bashed a SV-262's gun onto a VF-31's pod?

Wow, that is quite the VF-27 modification. -
Sounds really cool, definitely interested to see what you can do with it. Also let me know if you want to open-source it, or set up a kickstarter 😅 I've been looking for a decent 3D scanner that isn't business pricing.
-
Mine only shipped out today, but looking forward to putting in in my display alongside Misa.
-
Well, if all else fails you can try to de-noise by just running multiple scans and averaging the results. The 0.2um resolution x-ray microscope I built for my previous company averaged 10 images per viewing angle to get better SNR. Honestly your mesh already looks great. What did you use for an initial sample to set up the alignment?
-
Very impressive, are you going to try and add in a smoothing function to the generated mesh? Or handle that in a CAD program separately?
-
Well, one of the big things looks to be the joint area where the wingtip hinges over and the v-stab attaches. It looks like it's beefier now, and also serves as an attachment point for the new out-board super packs.

31D doesn't exist. The VFG's are supposedly heavily customized EX-gears (I think?) which are used for racing, but that's the rationale from Aoshima, not sure if it's backed up in any way on the Macross side of things. -
Up at USAGUndamStore as well, for $159.99 And they have some 10% discount codes that are always available.

(Aside from NY) I've only ever had one real issue. The SV-51 I bought off CDJapan had the ankle issue, and I couldn't get a repair kit from Arcadia through them. Fortunately Arcadia was willing to ship me a set to a Tenso address, so got it fixed. Haven't bought anything at CDJapan since.

Not only is it already available, they are already on orders for the second production run.

Took them long enough.

Also the lights typically work best in dark rooms, which is when solar power wouldn't work. So it'd need an internal-battery, which bring us back to problems with batteries.
-
The Kitz Concept 1/72 VF-1 transforming Robotech figures have lights (but not in the wings), but frankly I'd rather they just be cheaper and not have them. Those things cost as much as a plain DX Chogokin VF-1 if you buy a superpack one.

Man, the -32S removed the wing hardpoints! Ripoff!

Per release, of course.

That looks like the mono-eye VF that we're presuming is the enemy, and possibly protoculture-tech. -
The "New Hat" Hayate was from the previous movie, not the new one I thought?

Wait, is that a legit leak, or just a photoshop? Damn, those fold crystal replacement bits on either side of the head are HUGE if it's real.

That looks like part of the armored kit, it has plates that go in front of the arms. I'm guessing they've been incorporated into the new super pack?

Anyone else notice how different the fold crystals on the battroid collar look? [edit] could also be part of the armor, but just checked my set and the fold crystals are not covered by the armor, so that’d be a change in the armor if so.
