  1. Is it even "free floating" when there's a big post sticking out of the bottom anyway? Now, if the line it was hanging from was coming down from above to eliminate that, then I'd be down with the look.
  2. 3 on the right actually, there's two missile pods. Btw, I put up STL files for the pod on the left (of the two top-right missile pods) if anyone wants to 3D print it. Can also grab from shapeways, but way cheaper to print yourself or locally. Edit: Later on in the thread, @Xigfrid made up the double-cannon pod on the lower-right, it's up on his Shapeways store. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/xigfrid3dshop?section=Missiles+and+Pylons+DX+compatible&s=0
  3. Probably due to the olympics starting up?
  4. In my case I have a browser plugin that scans the P-Bandai US page for changes and alerts me. Which is also how I manage to get stuff off of mandarake or get notified of new releases and such.
  5. Since the first movie had both Mirage and Hayate losing their own VF-31 fighters, it makes sense that they could be getting new ones. Though a bit less sense for Hayate, since he got Messer's fighter.
  6. Probably because they want to use it as an export, and English is still a primary international language.
  7. There's way better places to buy from than eBay. Try Mandarake, usually much cheaper than eBay, even with international shipping. Or buy off of Yahoo Auctions Japan via a proxy like FromJapan or Buyee. But even on there, a sealed Kairos would probably be north of $600.
  8. Fortunately I was prepared for it going fast, since it went through 2 batches like instantly on the Japanese website...
  9. Managed to snag one. 😬 Had to spend a looooong time reloading the pages to snag one, and I had it on cart at 6pm... Took 10+ minutes to get charged, and never even got a confirmation email (it does show as paid on my account).
  10. Other (for me) was DHL. It was also only like 8000Â¥ for my pair.
  11. Bunch of kits going up on P-Bandai US at of 9EST/6PST tonight. Including Tallgeese Flugel and RG Phenex. https://p-bandai.com/us/search?sort=newArrival&character=03-001&sellDate=0&sellDate=1&text=
  12. So, another 262-Hs? Interesting, though I guess it means no needing to make up the Ba head and wing sculpt if they make it a toy. As to the mystery valkyrie, I'm seeing some SV- lineage there (in the battroid appearance), as well as VF-27 and YF-29? Definitely an interesting shape, and I'm guessing some VF-4 lineage in the transformation.
  13. If you only had one pair of cutters, you want it to be something more like the Tamiya ones, rather than God Hand/MicroMark/Gundam Planet. The best cutting nippers have thin blades, so they're also fragile, especially when cutting thick gates or transparent (hard) plastic. Get something durable and sharp enough, and then later on grab a secondary pair for making clean cuts when needed. Also how you remove things from nubs can matter, at least if you're not going to putty+paint over everything. To reduce stress marks and pitting, cut stuff out with large nubs attached, then cut them short or remove them.
  14. DHL, and also included the Proxy double-boxing the pair.
  15. $88 to the proxy, to pack and ship my pair, but they should be on their way soon.
  16. FWIW, you can snag God Hands for like $60 shipped, or my personal favorite cheap(er) cutters, the Tamiya "123" for under $30 shipped. From Amazon (US) in both cases.
  17. Dang, that's a nice mesh there. ...Which means you're going to have so much fun removing tiny pits and scratches 🤪
  18. It's pretty clear that those high prices are based on what it actually costs to produce. Valks (especially complex new molds like VF-0 and SV-51) are pretty expensive to design, produce, and assemble. The VF-1 series is a lot cheaper, since the design and molds already exist, but they also don't sell nearly as well so retailers demand a higher margin as they sit on shelve and eventually go on sale... Bandai stuff costs less to make because Bandai has better manufacturing (not outsourced) and also retailers don't demand as high of a margin since the Bandai stuff rarely sits on shelves. You can say I'm just justifying, but I'm actually a mechanical engineer and design things for mass production as my day job.
  19. Yeah, just look at the gaps on the wingtips and vertical stabilizers. It's definitely mis-transformed.
  20. I've got 2 pairs of God Hands, and 3 pairs of Tamiyas, plus some Gundam Planet nippers and some Xurons. When I need something cut cleanly, and I can't sand the part (transparent plastic, chromed runners, etc...) I pull out the god hands. They cur the cleanest and closest of all my nippers. Btw, I got mine for like $50-$60each, they're really not that expensive any more. https://smile.amazon.com/God-Hand-Ultimate-Plastic-GH-SPN-120/dp/B01MUGEO9X
  21. They did telescope out, but this is way closer to the SV-262 gun design-wise. (Credit to Jenius/Anymoon for the pictures)
  22. Given the colors, the telescoping sections, even the muzzle, it's definitely based on a SV-262 gun.
  23. Legs as online-only add-on pack?
