  1. So, just looked over the pics on Hobby Search of the kit contents and instruction booklet. Looks like the Monsters aren't standalone, they're part of the Daedalus. HOWEVER! It apparently comes with 60 standalone desdroid Phalanx, Defender, and Tomahawks.
  2. Same, switched them to my "travel" card, without a currency conversion fee. Saves a bit compared to paypal.
  3. (Puts on engineer hat) It's stronger the way they have it, you want alternating uni- or bi- directional layers when laying composite. Doing a seam of two different directions meeting in the middle creates stress concentrations.
  4. I just wish Hasegawa would publish their ship dates like Bandai, checked online and then decided to not wait until the 14th (60days from oldest) to ship on the offchance it stocked.
  5. Try the Sell and Trade subforums: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/forum/32-sell-trade-and-buy-macross/
  6. Yup, got my purchase notice as well. Perfect timing, since I just shipped my Private Warehouse YESTERDAY.
  7. Good thinking, I ought to pull out the TV missiles from my Messer's and stick them on the Roy's VF-1S, since both the boxes and reaction missiles look silly without the super/strike packs.
  8. Yup, here's the pic of what comes in the one I got (courtesy of Jenius)
  9. Just the boxes and reaction warheads, also only the DYRL style of hands.
  10. I don't have an HMR VF-1S Roy, I've got the 35th anniversary Messer VF-1S, which does come with the covers.
  11. The HMR looks better in battroid, between the better head sculpt and the gap cover over the shoulders. That said, I've got mine set up in fighter right now, and sent the strike pack over to one of my HMRs instead.
  12. Yup, wing pivots and the ball-joint for the front-half of the foot are pretty loose. Can still stand up in Battroid though.
  13. はいはい、そうです。 Either way, VF-1S Roy Strike is my favorite VF-1.
  14. May not be an Elintseeker, but my H-Metal VF-1S Strike from Mandarake showed up.
  15. I just leave mine in the PW for a while so I can combine shipments. Saves me a bit of cash, which I can then spend on more Macross...
  16. My list of want: Tomahawk (I will buy like 5) YF-19 (hopefully new mold, rather than re-hash of VF-19) YF-21 VF-11 Queadluun Rae (And a Klan Klein version) Would also be nice: VF-25 VF-27 VF-0 SV-262
  17. Sending back a return to Japan probably sets them back more than a missing package, if the package was insured (SAL and EMS are insured). They can recoup the value of the lost item (up to the insured amount) from the postal service that lost it.
  18. New models are on Shapeways for the 1/72, ought to cut the cost quite a bit. I'll re-do the 1/60s during the week. [edit] Since the models don't seem to be showing up properly, here's direct links: Body Interior Doors
  19. Try the website chat, since you're more-or-less guaranteed to at least get a human who has to pretend to listen, rather than sending emails into the void.
  20. I think it's unfortunately the shipper who has to file for the insurance, which means you're at the mercy of NY's less-than-stellar customer service. Also, you'll probably have to wait until USPS gives up looking for it and declares the package lost in any case.
  21. The Elintseeker was only like ¥7000, so I bought 2 instead of 1... Yeah, one's staying in the box, probably.
  22. Waiting for Hobby Search to ship mine out.
  23. Just the fact it's topcoated already is a huge plus, makes figures look a lot less "toy-like".
  24. Yeah, that's about standard with them, though I've noticed if you pre-order something early they tend to ship it fairly quick. Never bothered me that much, since I use SAL to save some money anyway.
  25. WSF or FUD/FED for the shell, using FUD/FED will probably show some of the extra detail a bit better. If you sand it'll almost certainly remove the 0.2mm tall stuff. The doors need to be FUD/FED. If you wait until Tuesady or so, I'm going to try combining some of the parts together on a runner so they can be printed as 1 piece, and cost a bit less.
