  1. On the bright side, just got confirmation and paid for an opened/box damaged VF-31a from Mandarake. So no more worries about if NY will/won't eventually ship. Downside is it cost $350 incl EMS, compared to the $230ish my NY order was. About to contact the ebay seller I had a 2nd on order from, and pester them again.
  2. Because Bandai is most definitely aware that there are 3rd party vendors selling their TWC items, and probably know exactly who they are as well. Also it'd be a lot easier to come to agreement with a few large order holders than multiple small order holders.
  3. Frankly, my own suspicion is that Bandai realized the production/yield issues, and offered large buyers a discount for delayed delivery, and NY took it to save some cash.
  4. What country are you in? If you count shipping to the US, any of the ones I've seen sell on YJA would exceed that. The ones from Mandarake are pretty close (35000yen+4500shipping)
  5. Apart from the one that needs to come off to access the battery compartment, I'd just glue the other two on. Then shave the remaining one a bit so it fits better. Haven't done it to mine (yet) though.
  6. Yeah, the arms in general could have used a bit more engineering, but I still don't regret it with how great it looks, and how solid the rest of it is.
  7. It was up for less than 60seconds I think, since my alerts didn't catch it.
  8. The DX Gipsy Danger is just so satisfyingly heavy and solid. Shame the arms are a bit limited in their motion though.
  9. It's from the movie, same with the VF-31 w/ Drakkens.
  10. I use Distill Web Monitor (on chrome), refreshing at 1min intervals, with audio and email alert (and the emails give an audio alert on my phone).
  11. Well, just gave in and ordered one from Mandarake. If I end up getting mine properly from Ebay/NY I'll probably sell one of them. ¥33,000. Opened, package dirty. (Behold the power of a web-monitor plugin)
  12. Oops, wrong thread.
  13. I only go to NY for Arcadia Premiums, P Bandai, and TWE stuff. Retail I get from HLJ mainly, sometimes Hobby Search.
  14. Depends whose butt...
  15. I'l be completely honest. There's probably some color combination that would look good with that stripe pattern. Gold, blue, black and white is not it, however.
  16. There's a photo of it built w/o lil' drakens on the website.
  17. I doubt they'll re-release (unless there really was a QC/yield issue), though they probably will release an Arad VF-31a, and possibly a unit 02 VF-31a.
  18. Fext Hobby contacted me regarding the initial order where the price was in HK$ rather than US$. Short story was either cancel the order, or cancel and re-order with a $5 credit.
  19. I mean deciding, for instance, every month there's a net $300 for spending on toys. Any extra carries over to the next month. Putting it in a separate checking or savings account with an automatic transfer would make it pretty easy to control.
  20. Ami-Ami's not so bad, the Hi-Metal strike was 8000yen. Looks like someone bought that one off of AmiAmi though.
  21. I highly suggest budgeting out a certain amount per month for spending on hobbies (including valkyries), and using that as a guideline.
  22. Yup, Hi-Metal VF-1S Roy here as well, because the HMR one costs soooo much.
  23. I had to buy all my VF-25s from Mandarake. I wasn't even collecting Valkyries when they were released. Lucked out and got a VF-25S used for only ¥20,000. Then another ¥30,000 for his armor.
  24. I picked one up really early, order number was still 1001, I think they started at 1000.
