  1. Or it can break because you dropped it, like is the case here.
  2. Posted in the other thread, but it'll probably get deleted because this exists: Upon closer inspection, this thing looks articulate as hell. What appears to be a waist pivot at the top/back of the nosecone. The forward joints under the hips also appear to have some sideways motion to them. Feet seem to have some ankle tilt left-right, rather than just forward/back.

  4. Here's the Tamashii page linked in the video, so this is 100% legit: https://tamashii.jp/special/macross/vf-1j/ Edit: It's interesting that they're not going to be the same 1/60 scale as the rest of the DX Chogokin Valkyries. Then again, 1/48 means not competing with Yamato/Arcadia (except the old Yamato 1/48s), and makes it more equal in size to the 1/60 Valkyries of the later series (Frontier/Delta). Probably easier to design in gimmicks and detail as well.
  5. Cheapest option that might work is probably just some JB Weld, not sure how well it'll hold though.
  6. No word yet from CDJ, looking back at it I guess they charged full retail of ¥21,000.
  7. Unfortunately, that'd go with pretty much any fix, unless he knows a good welder. I suppose JB Cold Weld might work, if it's not stressed.
  8. 3D printed metal parts are a bit cheaper than that. Shapeways might be around $50 I think, given the size, for printed steel.
  9. How is the Strike Freedom? I know it's popular and expensive on the secondary market, but how's the build quality of the figure? Well made?
  10. This looks like a case for 3D printing or casting a replacement.
  11. Given how they did the VF-1 and VF-0 figures, I imagine they'll either include it in every release (like the super packs), or not make them at all (like the ghost booster).
  12. Well, hopefully this means they're taking time to do a good job on a challenging transformation. It'd be a shame if this ended up like Bandai's SV-262 puzzle with lots of un-necessary complexity.
  13. Looks like the Reaction missiles from a VF-25 armored? Version 1 maybe?
  14. VF-19(plural) I feel you on the no shelf space, I've got 24 figures sitting in boxes, waiting for me to move to somewhere I can display them all. 14 of those are 1/60 Macross as well.
  15. The Yamato VF-19s don't have the greatest market price as I recall, that said $125 with free shipping for a new one is a pretty darn good deal.
  16. Dear god, the 31a is already more of a grail piece than the VF-0D... How long until it catches up with the Yamato 1/60s Elint/VF-1D/Super Ostrich/Angel Birds/etc?
  17. You could try a bit of future or nail-polish to thicken the peg?
  18. It's odd that the heel peg just slipped out. Someone screwed up their sizing, it should have had to snap both pegs to do that.
  19. I'll definitely go for a VF-1S of those, looks nice.
  20. Got a few things in over the last week. HLJ PW and sale stuff, some Macross shirts, and a Metal Build Laevatein from NY.
  21. I'll get the armored set for every one they make it for. If only because the Armored Pack double-gun is so much better than the f***ing drone charger (especially if I can re-color to match my VF-31As).
  22. I think the Trident Tamashii Stage is generally suggested, it's the one that came with the Glaug.
  23. FYI, HLJ's doing a Macross Frontier Lucky Bag now, 3 items, one of which is a Sheryl EXQ figure. https://hlj.com/product/HLJLB009 ¥2,961
  24. Considering the price difference, I'd say go with the Kai. ¥6000 yen more, comes with the missiles, and it'll probably have a larger value increase over time as it's limited.
  25. I'm wondering this as well. I want those, but not enough to sign my digital soul away to Facebook.
