  1. Mine was SAL, dispatched 7/24 and just reached customs on the US side as of this morning. Frankly it showing up only 4 days later would be surprising. Usually with SAL I see it waiting about a week between dispatch and inbound.
  2. That's a pretty reasonable price, not like CDJ charging almost 30,000yen.
  3. I'm still missing the first Tenjin book, it wasn't available at the Mandarake location that had the 31C.
  4. Got a box in from Mandarake. The VF-31C is for a friend. The books are for me.
  5. Arcadia uses external design teams. https://www.forbes.com/sites/olliebarder/2017/09/08/arcadia-talks-about-how-it-makes-the-best-macross-and-megazone-23-toys-out-there/
  6. Pretty much, if there's anything I need right now (which frankly is almost never), I buy it somewhere else. NY is for when I want to save some money and don't mind waiting.
  7. CDJapan, Anime Export, Big in Japan, just to name a few. There's several places to get P-Bandai and Tamashii Web Exclusives from.
  8. Well, they're not the only game in town, they're just the cheapest (by a good amount for pre-orders). Which probably means they've got fewer employees.
  9. They give it as a range, 30days is the top end. Worst I've had to wait (apart from VF-31a) is I think 1 week for an in-stock item I bought during a sale. Since it shipped via ferry I didn't really care.
  10. Seems to be new that it's displayed, and dependent on shipping time. NY's always been slow with shipping, unless you buy expensive shipping, I'm glad they're finally disclosing it.
  11. Well, guess I'll find out how bad in a month or so, NY just put the premium Milia on Sale, so I grabbed one.
  12. Yup, they also lowered the price on Mirage's supers to 11,500yen.
  13. So, I read through a google translation of the article, and it reads like unhooking the bar from the legs after hooking them into the nose is optional, that is to say, it sounds like you can leave the bar hooked to the legs in battroid, or unhook it to have the waist swivel.
  14. It looks like you can swing the bar with the legs down into position, lock the legs in, and then detach the bar after that. Which is more-or-less the same sort of thing that it canonically does, but with one central bar rather than the two fiddly piston mechanisms that the Bandai 1/72 model kit used.
  15. Interesting stuff there, specifically these pictures showing how the legs attach to the nosecone.
  16. You could try prying it open, but frankly I'd say leave it alone unless it breaks.
  17. Ooh, going directly to the Super Dimensional Enabler. Smart marketing.
  18. Tried plastic cement, but it didn't hold so I used superglue the second time. Haven't had any issues since. The flap has the gates (places where there's extra plastic sticking it to the runner) on those round pegs. When they're not removed properly it makes the round peg into a square peg, and those corners will get caught on the gap between the parts holding the peg and force them apart, breaking off that little piece. The simple solution is that if it breaks, you check your pegs and shave or sand them until they're round again before gluing it back together.
  19. Considering the price I paid (2500yen), I'm pretty happy with the one Sheryl I got. https://myfigurecollection.net/item/5637 https://myanimeshelf.com/figures/185164_Ichiban_Kuji_Premium_Macross_F:_Sheryl_Nome
  20. Careful when gluing, so you don't glue the pegs as well. I just kept flexing the flap while it dried to prevent it.
  21. Something like the concord nosecone, except it tilts the other direction?
  22. After looking the EXQ over, I think it's the eyes, they're a different shape from the other Sheryls on this page,
  23. I had one of those little covers break off on my VF-1S Roy. Before you reassemble and glue them back on, take a look at the flap pegs for rough areas, mine had some leftover nubs that were stressing the covers. Sand the rough spots, or trim with a hobby knife to help prevent re-breakage.
