  1. This release should be all good. Known good mold/design (VF-19 Adv) It's the YF-19 Fast pack included Fold dildo booster included Massive array of underwing ordinance Can't wait for my 3, first time I've intentionally bought this many of a valk.
  2. If you print yourself, it'll probably need some sanding/filing to fit properly. If you use shapeways default cheap-o white plastic, it'll probably work, maybe with a bit of sanding. If you use the "professional" plastic, it ought to be pretty good straight off the bat, no guarantees though. In any event, no matter how you print it up, it ought to work with minimum alterations.
  3. Got a local guy to print up the parts. I have 2 on hand, and fit one up with about 30seconds of file work to get it settled. It works, but the chanel down the middle is a touch narrow (due to material shrinkage I think). The CAD is the proper size, so anything ordered from shapeways ought to be good. 4. Huh, one at 22,000 and one at 25,000, but both unopened (package damaged). I guess Arad's in decent demand if they've already upped the price to 25,000.
  5. As far as battroid form goes, this looks to have the best hand articulation, and the best overall arm/leg/hip/shoulder articulation.
  6. Definitely going to panel line mine, no questions.
  7. Speaking as a CAD guy, making curves is a bitch and a half. Much easier to just recast off a master.
  8. The only bandai VF-1 I have that issue with is the single Hi-Metal one I have. All the HMRs can be adjusted so it's sitting properly.
  9. Got in my VF-31S Arad, as well as a Macross Lucky Bag from HLJ. Lucky Bag contained: Sheryl EXQ figure, macross nendoroid petit blindbox figure (Mylene), and one of the Delta 2D illuminated plastic character things (Keith). [edit] If anyone else wants to swap blindbox figs, Macross 7 is the only one I haven't watched. I'd much prefer Sheryl/Sharon/Sarah. Or even Ranka/Minmay.
  10. Going by that battroid pose, I think those legs are ratcheted. Keeping that pose without some form of ratcheting, or a very tight joint would be difficult.
  11. First pass is done, here's the STL if anyone wants to try printing one out. Going to order one from Shapeways in WSF for testing. Measuring the various curved and angled bits of the gun handle were a bit of guesswork. DX Attach SLD.STL edit: looks like it costs $2.04 (With $5 shipping...)
  12. I'm surprised they haven't issued a VF-0D premium version. With the 1st wave ones selling at north of $400, with spotty quality on the legs, it ought to be like printing money.
  13. So, if I have anything that clips around the body of the gun it interferes with the "opening" mechanism. The one I'm working on will thus grab the handle.
  14. Well, it's only like a single DX as far as costs go?
  15. Update! Far too delayed, but it's still here. I'm actually working on the VF-31 hardpoint gun mount (finally), should be done by Monday. HOWEVER, I won't get the prototype in for a few weeks to confirm it works properly. If anyone's got a 3D printer and wants to try it out without waiting, I can shoot the STL file over, it's a pretty small/simple piece. Sorry for the delay, been trying to power through my gunpla backlog, which is something like 4PG/20MG/10RG deep. [edit] Credit to @Xigfrid for reminding me (politely) about this project and getting my ass in gear.
  16. Honestly, it looks to be oriented wrong for a stress mark.
  17. Pg Astray Red Frame Kai showed up today, in what's probably the largest gunpla box I have ever seen.
  18. Not yet. $5 says they bring us Nu and Hi-Nu in 2019 though.
  19. I think from now on I'll be using proxy services to buy and P-Bandai stuff. I'm willing to deal with pay-up-front for a bit more reliability. It's annoying that you can't register for a P-Bandai account using a Tenso address though. To be fair, a lot of other stores just outright canceled orders, at least NY eventually delivered (to some of us).
  20. The 1/72 plastic model did the line-art accurate transformation mechanism with the pistons. I am very glad they did not try that again, even in the larger scale with metal parts.
  21. I'll be honest, I care more about pulling stuff out of the box than I do about detaching/reattaching things while transforming.
  22. Careful with that 0A, specifically the Arcadia ones have frequent leg issues.
  23. Looks good, can't wait to see one all painted up.
  24. Looks to be about on-par, if not slightly cheaper, compared to the two I've got on order through FromJapan and ZenMarket.
