    Broke down and finally got a HMR VF-1S Roy off YJA via proxy. Then like 2-3 showed up on Mandarake the next few days for less... Oh well.

    Apart from a decidedly used chunky from a garage sale, the first valk I had was a used V1 VF-25F I bought from Mandarake on a trip to Japan.

    NY might be bad, but they're better than MyKonbini. NY doesn't cancel orders and then just re-list for marked up prices. They are actually delivering the products (and some suspect they're taking a loss to do so). As to HLJ, I'd take the $22credit for something that's an easy fix. Better than returning it for refund, and then having to pay aftermarket for one.

    Ah, it looks like the 1/48 DX retracts into the torso quite a bit more compared to the Yamato V2/Arcadia.

    I know the 1/60 Yamato/Arcadia VF-1 figures don't do that. I haven't actually transformed either of my Yamato 1/48s yet.

    Anyone else notice that the center part of the back (the part that folds out to let the head rotate through) folds inwards so the backpack can fold flatter? It's the little things that really show how much thought they put into this.

    Ah, was not aware, but that's an easy change. I was planning to make the double-hardpoints also.

    Well, they'd have to redo most or all of the plastic. The transformation and the metal bits could be re-used at least. Just got DHL notification for the one from Yahoo Japan, slated to show up Tuesday.

    Frankly, I'm more interested in picking up a second Arcadia YF-19 at this point (to go with my 4 DX YF-19s), in case anyone's going to replace their Arcadia with a Bandai... Been following Mandarake/Jungle/YJA hoping to see one there that's not $300.
