    You need to pivot your hip bars on that battroid in the back. They rotate 180degrees which brings the hips up further along the torso.

    I'd hope so. Apparently they've made large advances in OCS (Object Container Streaming), which should give some serious performance/network boosts. I'll give it another shot once the new patch with OCS is in and see if my computer will handle it without exploding.

    So, have there historically been any other Macross figures that were as ridiculous to get a hold of (and increased in price so drastically) as the 31a?

    Probably wouldn't be too hard, aside from lining up all the holes.

    From that first image it looks like the fowler flaps are inset into the ailerons, which are full-length on the wing. Which is very wrong, but w/e.

    As they tilt up and down, those should be the ailerons, but they're too far in-board.

    Just give us the other 2 HMR Desdroids already, and the N-Ger and Q-Rau while they're at it.

    Wonder how much of that is because it's the first movie to release (in Japan) with English subtitles (excepting the special edition of Frontier's movies). I know I bought a copy, and I assume I was not alone.

    I'm less annoyed about the VF-31, and more annoyed about the Plated version RG Wing Zero and Talgeese that were in the order. The VF-31 I can find elsewhere.

    Darn, missed my pay by date on the NY order I had for the new Messer VF-31. Guess time to hunt one on release day.

    Yeah, I could see doing it on a carrier deck, but apart from that always in-flight or in another mode.

    Well, it's cheaper than the Arcadia premium SDF-1.

    More likely that these are parts that didn't pass QC initially, or excess part inventory from the Chinese factories.

    I'd go with the YF-19 objectively, since it's going up in price, whereas the 31kai is staying pretty solid. Getting the 31Kai later will hurt less than a YF-19.

    I'm really tempted to find a pair of eye decals that are a bit sharper at the upper outer corners, and do a replacement. The rest of the figure is good, but the face is not.

    I have the Sheryl, they did her eyes completely wrong, her face looks more like Makina from Walkure than it does her.

    I understand it's a design issue, and Bayformers are wholly worse than anything from Macross. CG magic is far more potent than anime magic. Over in Macross land things are designed to have solid forms on both ends.

    Oh god, that underside... I will never complain about Valkyrie designs again, not even the VF-2

    They've got it hanging vertically off the attachment point from the arm-cannons. It's too low down to work when on gear, but it works on the stand just fine.
