    Got an email back from HLJ: Not terribly worried, as it's a re-issue and most of the Delta valks were available for a bit after release. Going to give them some time to see if they can fill or not.

    Yeah, the base super parts are pretty anemic. Essentially the VF-25 super pack, except the boosters are just duct-taped on-top of the wing, rather than wrapping it. Plus they're further outboard. Then again, the VF-31 (superb engineering aside) is not one of my favorite valk designs. Those spindly arms...

    There we go, that's starting to look like a real super pack. The base ones always seemed a bit lacking.

    Why not TV and Movie? Take the TV supers, remove the boosters, add the Drakkens.

    Annealing won't help this. It won't melt the parts back together, it'll just remove internal stresses.

    If your plastic is already compromised, you're pretty boned. You're not getting that material strength back. You could glue the affected pieces back together and resin cast them?

    Who thinks they're going to show off some sort of add-on for the 1/48 VF-1? Or do we think it'll be another 1/48 VF-1 variant?

    It will not. It's fighter-mode only (there's a different stand for gerwalk and battroid).

    So, I looked up how much Amazon Japan wanted to ship one of these to me in the US, since their normal shipping is both cheap and fast. They wanted around $400 in shipping. Yup, keeping that CDJ pre-order...

    Nope, I have everything from HLJ whitelisted, and phone alerts for CC issues. No activity, order doesn't even show as processing on the HLJ website yet, just "open".

    Suddenly I feel a lot better about spending ~$1,000 a month on figures and models.

    Home depot almost certainly doesn't carry metric pins. You could also try Ebay and Amazon. You can also try getting the closest approximate sizes in Imperial (1/16"=1.5875mm) and drilling out the holes to match, and cutting the pins to length.     Looks like this one isn't climbing in price too quickly, Mandarake listed 2 more unopened ones at ¥28,000 instead of their previous ¥30,000

    Maybe they're going in order? VF-1 VF-2 VF-4 So, the next one after would be the VF-11?

    Maybe on top of a display case. Hanging from the ceiling will probably not work, as I'd bump into it.

    According to NY, release date is the 13th, so it should be hitting shortly, if not already. Still waiting for my charge from HLJ.

    Notsure I'd buy one in 1/60, but in HMR scale I'd go for it.

    Well, it doesn't look like they're sagging on the prototype at least. That's a good sign.

    HLJ has the 31 Messer available again, was able to replace the one that I forgot to pay for at NY. edit never-mind, apparently someone cancelled and I got theirs.
