    You can loosen the hips beforehand, there's a tutorial in the macross maintenance thread showing how to remove the covers and loosen the screws.

    I can't remember, but were the VF-31A packs the same colors? I'd think at least the tornado cannons would be different color.

    It protrudes downwards a bit, taking up the space of the gunpod as well. The vanes fold up 90degrees, as do the two flat parts at the center. Not entirely sure if/how much the ends collapse/fold up.

    I really hope that the accessory releases aren't all P-Bandai. Sure, it might be great for people in Japan, but outside it just means getting dinged by a grey-market re-seller, and the individual shipping charges, on something that might only cost $20 base.

    I'll be honest, if the prices are reasonable (like $10 for the hands, $15-$20 for missiles, $50 for strike/super) I don't mind too much. I think mainly we're just realizing that once you add in all the extras (hands, weapons, super/strike pack) it'll end up at a similar price point to the Arcadia VF-1 figures, or higher.

    I guess I've gotten pretty lucky with ebay Macross stuff. Picked up a 1/72 VF-25G Tornado kit, Yamato VF-11B, and VF-31a pre-order (that actually got filled, though delayed).

    The only question is if I'm getting 1 or two of the armored packs. I know I want one for my Arad (and display in Gerwalk or Fighter). Do I want to buy one just for the cannon pod to use elsewhere?

    I think it's her ears, they're sticking out a bit which makes her face look wider.

    Last I checked it was closer to $500-$600 MISB? A bit less for the VF-11B.

    Might be a flash issue? Flash isn't very consistent.

    I haven't yet opened any of the trays on my copies, just the outer box to check the head laser. From looking, it shouldn't be too hard to fake it up using sheets though.

    One other factor slowing me down is that my Mirage supers (that have the shield brackets), DX YF-19(s), and Yamato fold booster are all in boxes, since I'm out of display space.

    Not crazy, more than I've been doing a lot of CAD work at my job, and I'd like to wait until that's over to do even more CAD modeling on my own time. On my to-do list: VF-31 Super Shield-to-hardpoint adapters DX YF-19 mounts for the Yamato fold booster Arcadia YF-19 mounts for the Bandai fold booster Extra single and dual ordinance mounts for DX YF-19 ordinance In the far, far future the dual-cannon weapons pod for the VF-31.

    I think high-speed mode is more an accidental result of having a perfect transformation, as that's the wing/wing-root position for battroid.

    It's got a gun, which even mounts in fighter mode. According to the pictures.

    As I recall, the HM VF-19 was not well received. I'd hope they started over and made a new version for HMR. Though, since the DX -19 just came out it'll probably be a few years at the earliest.

    Well, they did the VF-1 and YF-19 in DX, the VF-4 in HMR, what other Yamato/Arcadia valks has bandai not done yet? VF-0 SV-51 VF-11 VF-17 YF-21/VF-22

    Heretic. The 80s had lots of planes and robots, and even things that turned into robots. Gerwalk mode was part of what set the Macross designs apart.

    Picked up one of the Yamato VF-1S kits to go with one of the 1/60 armors. Now to figure out what paint scheme.

    Well, it's a bit cheaper than the VF-2SS, so expect to see it at around ~$100 for pre-orders? I'm in for 1 or 2, even if the VF-4 is one of my less liked designs. P.S. BRING ON THE HMR VF-11!
