    Just pulled my Roy edition out of the box to check, fortunately looks like everything is good there. Guess I made the right call not getting a "Rick".

    Yeah, they're definitely aiming for the same style ok kits as Bandai. Mostly snap-fit, doesn't need a lot of putty and modding. Mostly out-of-the box ready, no painting or messing with decals.

    It’s pretty clear that for whatever reason the worldwide release HMR has a much higher markup than other Bandai products, even other Bandai Worldwide Macross products. The question is why? Did they have to pay HG a license fee because it has the UN Spacey kite? Is it because it’s an unproven line internationally and thus they set the msrp higher to entice stores to carry it?

    They do have their own factories for gunpla, IIRC the DX Chogokins and some other premium figure lines are not made in house.

    Just under $150 for me, thanks! That's a markup I can stomach, compared to $170 base price plus shipping and tax.

    Which makes the pricing even more ridiculous. The surface shipping cost per unit is almost certainly under $10...

    Fyi, their pricing/intro discount seems to be very volatile. I saw three different discounted prices, depending on if I was signed in or not, and if the item was in my cart.

    Except that the international shipping is benefiting from economy of scale, with many things being shipped together at lower individual price. It should be less expensive overall, as the larger portion of the shipping cost is the international shipping, which is benefitting from being in a larger container with many other items.

    No idea, but when AmiAmi had it for $105 after exchanging to USD, there’s no way I’m paying over $180 shipped. That’s just absurd.

    At that price, I'll just stalk mandarake, and hope for the usual release day supply (common for HMR). $110 (good exchange rate) vs $170 is just absurd.

    I'd wager more likely they have no idea about the market, and just picked the Arcadia to base their asking price on because they're both VF-0S.

    I assume it's supposed to be her from the newer Netflix GITS show. Which definitely loses out in the aesthetic sense, but at least it's got a decent story towards the end.

    Nitrile (preferably powder-free) is the best type to use.

    Yup, though strangely still shows up in my orders as 1/60, though the link says 1/100. I'm fine with it, the 1/100 probably needs the help more.

    The Fast Packs aren't mine. Do agree they look great though! I am also out of display space, so it's in the storage closet at the moment. Need to pack up some of the DX 1/48 doubles out on the shelves.

    For ¥15,000 for the valk and ¥9,000 for the armor (both without listed damage) it was too tempting. Then I got charged another ¥11,650 for shipping 🤕
