The other issue with steppers is that if there's inertia, they can coast part their desired position (in addition to friction stopping them short). Though I suppose you can use hard-stops rather than limit switches with them. -

Also I suspect that a key ingredient to getting a well received comic book movie, is to put out bad previews, let people complain, and have it fixed in the actual film. -

Part of it's just that it's an easy way to demonstrate someone's gear is "high-tech" (see: Starlord, Iron Man, Black Panther). -

Not a big fan of the whole "stick a boatload of swords on it" theme they've been doing since 00. Also, at least the Red Frame Kai's sword did some interesting things.

In the manga, she's called "octopus lips" by at least one person, they should have gone with that. I suspect it was just a (poor) choice to make it seem more anime-eqeue, as well as to make her seem more offputtingly artificial.

I've got the SV-262 in all 3 modes, and it's a terrific way to display the SV-262. The proportions look good, but you can tell they're not accurate if you look closely. I actually prefer the thinner wing look on the -262 fighter. I just wish it held together a bit better, but frankly that's the Gerwalk/Battroid design rather than anything Tomytec did.

Got home just in time to catch the mailman...who didn't have it. Turns out they have a separate person to deliver priority stuff, and they showed up at 10am when nobody was around to sign. Grumble.

Mine are staying in the boxes until I have a display spot for them. At least it's a lot less tempting to play around with the diecast vs the transforming Arcadia/Bandai stuff.

I'm not surprised, with a few exceptions the kits are available for clearance prices. It's a shame, the fighter models are quite nice, but the rest are overly expensive and not very good (aside from the painting).

Mine shipped from CDJ via EMS (for 17,800 yen, ouch) and is arriving today. Looks like I should have asked about shipping it FedEx or DHL...
