  1. Paid for my Charge 1 at FromJapan. Made sense as I'm getting 2, so the overhead's split.
  2. Nope, everyone's in the same universe. If you want to PvE only, there's supposedly going to be a slider so that your encounters are mostly vs AI rather than people. Also if you play in policed systems, any human that tries to jack you will get crimestat and be hunted down (like oldschool MMO town guards). There is no way to be 100% PvP free as planned, however the hope is that at some point the AI will be close enough in actions to PCs that the last 5%-10% difference won't matter much.
  3. I'm guessing that any private server software available will not include a lot of the "behind the scenes" economy stuff. Overhead, potential to exploit the live version, and just lack of influence on small server populations make it unlikely.
  4. You know what Hollywood did to Ghost in the Shell? Or the recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Yeah, it's like that. "Bayformers" as people seem to call them, have almost no resemblance to Transformers, aside from being robots and turning into things that aren't robots.
  5. I was actually trying to mess with @tekering, but might have caused some collateral damage. Yeah, they're transformers.
  6. Same, just to check out the prices. Doubt it'll be much different from BigInJapan or such.
  7. Unlikely, they're for a completely different scale, and the normal DX connectors wouldn't work with variable wing-sweep.
  8. I have rarely heard anything good about Mykombini. That sucks, hopefully you can snag one before or at release.
  9. What, no CF VF-1D?
  10. Jeez, CDJapan hasn't even shipped mine yet, and it's coming SAL. How's it look?
  11. For the standard white plastic, I doubt it. The tolerances are pretty loose, and it's very porous. For the professional plastics it ought to be fine though.
  12. Wow that Yamato V1 has a tiny little head.
  13. Amazon Japan uses DHL, and they seem to be a flat 1200yen fee for just about everything, from a Hi-Metal R to that monstrosity. They do up the price if you're getting more than one thing though, two HMRs was 1800.
  14. NY finally come through or what?
  15. The lawsuit's done, and Amazon can certainly let other companies use Lumberyard (with some Star Citizen improvements included).
  16. That was Hobby Search's "get these out of here" sale. I wasn't even going to buy a Milia (as I'm not a fan of the VF-1J). Now of course I have Milia and Max in PF, plus the normal Milia, plus other stuff...
  17. Not really, all their offerings are available for quite a long period after release, and at significant discounts in a lot of cases. My Arcadia VF-1J Miria cost 13,080yen new from Hobby Search...
  18. Here's what they'll be competing against if they tried to make another 1/60 VF-1: Their own VF-1 figs (Yamato/Arcadia V2) All the already existing Yamato VF-1 figs The Kitz Concept 1/72 VF-1 figs The Bandai 1/48 DX Chogokin VF-1 Yamato 1/48 VF-1 I think the 1/72 to 1/48 scale range of VF-1 is thoroughly saturated at this point. Frankly the only reason I'm getting into the Bandai DX past the first unit is I only have 2 Yamato 1/48 scale ones.
  19. Frankly I see no reason for Arcadia to attempt to compete with a V3 1/60 Valkyrie. There's so many other valkyries they could be making instead, ones where they're not fighting with everyone on the planet (including Yamato) for $$ over. They'd do better to make YF-21/VF-22, VF-11, and maybe start on the unrealized designs like VF-9 and VF-14. There's almost zero rationale for Arcadia to spend money designing and producing a V3 that they'll have to sell on the slimmest of margins.
  20. I really hope at least some of their engine works makes it into Lumberyard and gets used for additional games. Which seems likely due to their partnership with Amazon regarding the engine.
  21. Apparently she's one of the Walkure members/VAs, so that would be why they're using her.
  22. Where did you order from? I checked the Kitz Concept website and didn't see one up for pre-order.
  23. I see at least one pair of TV clown hands, so there's that.
  24. I'll give them credit, most of what they've spent time/money on so far is less building the game and more building the engine for the game. Since the object based engine stuff got integrated, progress has been much faster on the game aspects.
