  1. Yeah, the Bandai Fighter Collection is pretty nice looking. Just wish Series 3 and 4 weren't so expensive, then again you only need 1&2 for VF-1s.
  2. Same, hope it shows up quickly (for SAL). Waiting sucks, but it's always nice when something's small enough to ship for $15 rather than $40.
  3. I won a couple auctions on Yahoo Japan. For some reason the 3 towels were bundled in the same lot as the 1/250 Fighter Collection boxes. Edit: Got lucky, only had to open 8 of the series2 boxes to get both a YF-19 and YF-21
  4. I may transform them into another mode when I set them up, then again later if I change their accessories (like adding fast-packs), or if I have another figure to add and need to re-arrange my display. Generally I leave them in a given mode and pose though. I think my Frontier shelf hasn't been changed at all for like a year now (since I finished the squad).
  5. I can tell you that volume 16 comes after the end of Omnibus 5, I have both on my shelf. Wasn't aware the omnibus editions stopped at 5.
  6. Mandarake has an unopened one right now, for 33k yen. https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1106740972&ref=list&dispAdult=0&soldOut=1&keyword=マクロス&lang=en
  7. RE/100 Zaku II KAI? Interesting. I guess no MG Zaku 3.0 then.
  8. Also, for best results, cut the nubs off as far away from the part as possible, and support it so it doesn't sag or twist against the remaining nubs. After it's removed cut the nubs a second time, trimming them shorter. The big nasty white marks and pitting are caused by stressing the plastic where the nub connects to the part.
  9. I use an Olfa hobby knife and Tamiya nippers. Make sure to buy spare blades for your hobby knife, if the blade gets dull you are far more likely to cut yourself, so switch out blades if they dull. Also the sharper the knife, the better a cut will seal back up. Pro-tip: superglue works great as an instant bandage.
  10. Here's my typical suggestion list. The first 3 are nice simple builds that are also nice finished pieces. The latter two are much more involved, but impressive mechanically/visually. MG Jesta (simple good looking build with lots of gimmicks) MG RX-78 Origin (based on the 2.0 RX-78 which is much less fiddly than the 3.0, but with additional weapons and such) MG Ball. Because it's the MG Ball. Also it's cheap and has great detail. MG Sinanju OVA. Much more complicated build than the above, but one of the best MGs. MG Sazabi Ver Ka. Absolute unit, practically a Perfect Grade kit. Pretty much any MG kit from the last few years, excepting the Deep Striker or MG Unicorn/Banshee/Phenix, is a decent enough kit.
  11. That's just the original series. For Last Order you want to find the omnibus editions, I think there's 6 or 7 omnibus volumes (19 normal volumes)
  12. I figure I can use the second one on Chuck's orange VF-31. That or re-paint it for use with Mirage/VF-31A/whatever.
  13. The official store is https://p-bandai.com/ This item is not available officially to most areas outside Japan.
  14. Well, I'll be getting 3, one of them for a friend. RIP wallet.
  15. Actually, normal Bandai ordinance will fit on those. The central hole is the right size for a normal DX hardpoint, and the lip around the cylinder can latch onto the fingers on a normal DX attachment. They've essentially made a hybrid of their hardpoint dimensions, but in the Yamato style that allows rotation.
  16. The Hikaru might drop in price some when the next one goes up for pre-order/releases, especially if it's a Hikaru VF-1S. Other than that, I doubt it'll go down unless they re-release it.
  17. Bought a couple things from Hobby Search when they had that little sale a couple weeks back. Zero is nice and hefty. The Laevatein has a freaking huge box.
  18. I'll be honest, between that thing and the 1/6 cockpit speaker sets, I think I'd rather have the SDF-1.
  19. In the manga she is 100% human brain, in a cyborg body.
  20. The DX VF-31A does have larger canards, just FYI.
  21. From the manga:
  22. There's really only a few things that bugged me, aside from those it was a good movie.
  23. Cannot be shipped internationally, just a FYI to those outside Japan.
