Well, the super/strike packs are still up on P-Bandai website, so there's a good chance that a lot of scalpers will be trying to liquidate on release rather than holding onto them.
-
Honestly, it's not that the 171 is complex to transform, it's that it has other issues that make transforming diffficult: Stiff arm joints making lining up the arms in fighter mode difficult Tiny fragile triangle mechanism The leg issue, compounded by lack of B->F instructions
-
Yup, good on them for fitting it into their production schedule, but this makes me think their schedule is pretty packed right now.
-
Just going to post this again, so it doesn't get lost: Second round of super/strike pre-orders begins at 4pm JST on the 11th, or in about 30minutes. This second shipment will deliver in April. P-Bandai link

Not only that, but these are at least partially space fighters. In space those control surfaces are completely useless. So, question, in DYRL were the box missiles ever used in-atmosphere? That design makes them look like space-only armaments. Also, just a FYI: Second printing of Super/Strike parts is now listed on the P-Bandai page. Ships April instead of December (ouch, 4month wait) and orders open on Tues June 11th at 4pm JST. Or in approx half an hour.

I’m more interested in what that hole implies. That’s a screw hole, which implies that there’s something that the strike cannon is screwed into. Which in turn means that either the strike cannon screws on (unlikely, since it’s swappable with the super), or the swappable section goes much further back into the booster than the Yamato/Arcadia/HMR ones.

Renewal or not I'll buy an Elvis Drakken, especially if it has the Mikumo Itasha on it. (Not really a fan of any of the Walkure, but the art is very nice in this case).
-
I really hope they make a V1.5 using the Model kit's transformation. That said, I'm not sure I'd buy a third 262 unless it was a different paintscheme as well.
-
FromJapan is up-front, and if they can't secure enough pre-orders from Bandai to cover, they will refund you immediately. But they do make a specific pre-order on your behalf from the store. I've bought a number of P-Bandai items from them at this point, only with the Metal Build Gernsback was there an issue, as they could only secure me 1 PO rather than 2 and refunded me the difference, Got the second from Zenmarket.

NY or another site might be able to fill their orders via another method rather than direct from Bandai, however I'd say you have better chances if you have a proxy that managed to get an order direct with Bandai on your behalf. At that point, it's really just a question of if Bandai fulfills the order or not, rather than if the seller got enough orders in.
-
I mean, technically I'm good since I have 2x 1J, and 1each of 1A and 1S on pre-order for my 4 FAST packs, but I'm not even planning to put any on the 1J. Give Kakizaki!
-
Well, glad I got confirmation from my proxy. No worries about if a store will or will not get stock, since the proxy directly ordered 4 earmarked for me. Only Bandai or the post office can ruin this now.
-
NY has cheap prices (until they start gouging), but they have absolutely no customer service
-
If it says parts, it ought to be a part. Bandai makes too many model kits to not differentiate part vs sticker.
-
Well, guess I'm getting 4.
-
Just paste the Tamashii or P-Bandai page URL for the item into the search bar, and then fill out the request form that pops up.
-
I personally just use a proxy service. NY charges 500yen per item, and additional shipping. The proxy charges 500yen per order, and no inflated shipping (you do need to pay domestic shipping though). For order larger than 1 item it usually comes out lower, and they also have better customer service and do a warehouse/combined shipping thing.
-
I'm not talking about order of fulfillment, but rather that they fulfilled the orders at all.
-
Absolutely, which is why I and many others were surprised they actually came through (after a loooooong wait in many cases) with 31A orders.
-
I would totally watch that.
-
Looking good, really need to put mine back out on display again.
-
They probably will, I've had them hold things for months before.

At least the VF-4 was an entirely new transforming VF design in the line, even if they cribbed from Yamato heavily.
