  1. I'm going to be honest, sometimes you guys pick out inconsistencies I literally cannot see. Considering the real source material is (occasionally badly) hand-drawn animation from decades ago, I'm happy if it just looks decent.
  2. I think I just got charged by Amazon Japan for these, guess they'll be hitting soon.
  3. I know of one Polish non-Lego company that does a very nice corsair.
  4. More than anything else, Bandai seems to legitimately fear shelfwarmers. Which makes sense, as we aren't their customers, their customers are retailers who also hate shelfwarmers. A lot of their moves seem to be focused on avoiding doing what killed Yamato: spamming a bunch of figures out that end up on clearance, until retailers aren't willing to buy stock anymore. Which, yes, is really weird when you look at how they're producing the 20th version of metal build exia or strike, but somehow they always sell out without things going on sale much.
  5. Iโ€™d been wondering why the box was so long. I wonder why they changed? The old way of taping it behind worked fine.
  6. I guess they're going for the more serious overarching plot from the manga, rather than the episodic comedy of the original anime?
  7. Total paid, shipped with DHL to California, from AE: $135.74
  8. HLJ, and many other retailers, list the release date as the last day of the release month until they update the listing with the actual release day (which bandai usually announces at the start of the month an item ships). They just haven't updated the listing yet, no big mystery.
  9. Painting looks good, but I think Iโ€™ll go fore a more subdued set of greys and silvers.
  10. My CCS Lazengann just shipped from ShowZStore, looking forward to it.
  11. Huh, I preordered from Amazon Japan, and got nothing but the movie in a manilla mailing sack.
  12. Bbts is a base of $85 more than I paid at anime export. Add in tax and shipping, thatโ€™s still about $60-$70 less at anime exportโ€ฆ So glad I managed to order from a Japanese seller. Even with the pay ahead (which means I locked in the good exchange rate).
  13. What @MKT said. They look similar because itโ€™s the same Valkyrie, but they are absolutely not the same mold. Just look at the Yamato yf-19 vs the Arcadia version. Massively different. Itโ€™s a bigger difference than the v1 vf-25 vs the v2 for Bandai.
  14. Don't forget the new molds for the YF-19 as well. The only molds they're straight up re-releasing are VF-1 and VF-4. [edit] And the Desdroid as well.
  15. Just checked the Amazon Japan tracking number, looks like they shipped it "SF Express", and it's on a flight to LA as of 8:40am, 30th, JST. Ought to show up in a couple days I guess.
  16. Looks like Full Mechanics is morphing into what MG used to be. All the outer details and articulation, but no complete inner frame.
  17. I have the full set of 100 (and up though 30-something of the supers). $500 shipping sounds about right, those boxes take up a lot of space.
  18. Yeah, I'm down. I don't mind the hinges and such given this is a 1/100 kit.
  19. I'm normally all in....but I think I'll skip on these for Delta. Not interesting enough to look at for the price.
  20. ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ‘
  21. It's one of the ones that they have good molds for and can sell outside of Japan. Since they can't sell the VF-1, the VF-25 is probably the next best thing. Especially if someone picks up the international rights to Frontier. I am 100% down, Alto's VF-25 is the first Macross figure I bought (used super pack V1 from Mandarake on a trip), and the last of the VF-25s I got in V2.
