  1. I'd do it. Then again, I paid almost $400 each for a VF-11B and 11C.
  2. Yeah, I think the super RVF-25 with ghosts had the best radome implementation. The dish and shark fin flowed a lot better from the rest of the design than the VE-1 or VF-31E. The RVF-171 is a close second, for how well the elint equipment meshes with the plane.
  3. Just one problem: Since I only have 1 Luca RVF-25, I can't do both this and a skull squad display at the same time.
  4. I had to do it, now I just need to build the VE-11 kit I have in my PW at HLJ.
  5. They probably printed the black and white ink onto a transfer plate or the like, possibly silkscreen or something similar?
  6. I don't care, I still want a DX YF-21. Pretty sure Bandai will do it, given how well the YF-19 sold.
  7. As expected, USPS tried to deliver this morning after I left for work, so I won't be able to pick it up until after work tomorrow.
  8. Every other supplier got their stock ahead of time. NY is just being cheap, and doesn't hire enough people to handle their shipping.
  9. Not just that, the electronic components in these old aircraft are downright ancient. I'm talking 500nm aluminum on silicon chip designs. No American company produces them anymore, you can barely find them, and even if you do there's a better than even chance they're Chinese knockoffs, usually without the durability and radiation resistance of the genuine article. The older it gets, the harder it is to repair without doing full refits, and a full refit would need a full set of exhaustive testing to go with.
  10. I'd be replacing the whole weapons pod, both the gun and drone charger. Though I have a clip that lets the gun fix to the wing hardpoints.
  11. Well, that was one of my plans, once I shove a stampede armor on 1 of my 2 31Es. Definitely needs a re-paint though.
  12. As someone who doesn't care much about consistency of my collection, I'll be getting one. Plus this looks much nicer than my current VF-0D (which fortunately does not have exploding legs). I'll just make sure not to display them next to eachother.
  13. The Amazon Japan pre-order sold out fairly quickly, and never was available for international shipping (until the 3rd party sellers). I actually had an Amazon Japan order that I dropped in favor of a 3rd party, since it was cheaper than paying Tenso Proxy fees. Amazon Japan went back out of stock within seconds once I cancelled the pre-order from them directly.
  14. Back in February. http://anymoon.com/blog/?p=12222
  15. They already announced the price when they showed the prototype with all the weathering at WonFest. ¥39,800
  16. Looks like HLJ is out of stock.
  17. Honestly, sometimes even their Registered SAL is enough of an upcharge to null out the lower prices. I mainly just stay away and consider the extra cost from HLJ or CDJ to be insurance, since NY's customer service is notoriously terrible when something goes wrong with shipping, or the item's defective.
  18. NY is cheaper if you can SAL or don't mind waiting for ferry. For EMS/DHL/FedEx they overcharge massively.
  19. Same, but mine is for in-stock items only, and expires at the end of Aug.
  20. FYI, Anime-Export has them in-stock now for ¥23,800 http://www.anime-export.com/product/44798
  21. Looks nice, much easier to paint that way.
  22. Pretty sure they're not top-coated or weathered yet, that is if this PF gets top-coated and/or weathered.
  23. So, how many people think we're going to get a (Macross Plus style) plot about who needs human combat pilots when we have drones? Also, I'm interested in exactly which experimental or high-altitude plane he'll be in that requires a fully pressurized flightsuit.
  24. Looks like my 31E has already hit outbound customs, probably show up early next week. I'm thankful my Amazon Japan seller was willing to break street date by a few days, since it'll be in transit anyway.
