  1. I think I'll fit my second on Chuck, but put the strike cannons onto my 31A and leave Chuck's dish.
  2. Best is "taped twice", or opened for inspection. Bandai opened it for QA already, ought to be all in order.
  3. I think I might leave the wing missile packs off, or flip them backwards so they don't stick out as much. Otherwise, it looks pretty good. [edit] The landing gear are actually worse than the base VF-31, that's kinda impressive.
  4. Some things you just need multiples of. Like how can I have a display for all of Delta, plus one for all Radome valks if I didn't have 2x of Chuck?
  5. Wow, that took a while, did you pre-order from them, or after release? My pre-order arrived via SAL weeks ago.
  6. So I was just listening to this: Anyone want to weigh in on the dialogue clips? A few of them sound an awful lot like Myung and Isamu from Macross Plus.
  7. It's a tough call, but I'd go with the YF-19. YF-19 is form Macross plus, rather than from a few seconds of cameo in one of the Frontier movies. YF-19 comes with an arseload of munitions, the arm-guns, and the fold dildo. VF-19 has the better looking super-pack, but not enough to make up for the above. Plus the wing boosters look kinda silly in battroid.
  8. Looks good, still waiting on my Roundfacer Griffin to show up in the mail.
  9. I have good news and bad news: Good news: they've already released the 31A. Bad news: aftermarket cost is like $600 right now.
  10. That is a nice rig. Some day I need to do the same, but can't bring myself to stop buying valks...
  11. Yeah, saw someone else do it before and liked the look that way, bit of a tie-fighter vibe. Looks best from the front, but not so bad from the side either.
  12. Got my 31 shelf set up, only things still in boxes are the other 2 31a figures.
  13. Personally I'm a big fan of it aesthetically, though the wings are a bit too fat for my tastes. Kind-of necessary with how they form the legs, whereas all the other designs just fold them away.
  14. I kinda prefer the shields being clean, they look a LOT better without a bunch of holes front+center when I want to display without the reaction missiles (like on my 31J).
  15. Also depends on your windows. Modern double-pane windows usually have UV filtering built in, whereas older windows do not.
  16. Headcannon confirmed. Nobody will convince me differently.
  17. I just finally pulled my shield adapters out of the box, so I can try mocking them up in CAD with a hardpoint instead of the peg. Probably take a bit of cleanup work to fit though since I don't have a decent printer to make prototypes on.
  18. So at my job we have glass that gets browned from radiation exposure (X-ray/gamma-ray). The method we use to make it clear again? Bathe it in UV light for a few hours.
  19. I think part of it is twisting the bar, if you don't twist it it'll be quite firm, but if you twist it'll pop out, and the more you do it the worse it'll get most likely.
  20. I have 2 of them, transformed them both, swing bar didn't really bother me much apart from the first time I tried to get it separated.
  21. The KO makers over in China probably have one of the nice industrial scanners, those can get down to tens of microns. Had to look into them for work, and honestly they're not all that expensive for a company. Plus if they scanned in the parts in LQ then did clean-up manually it'd explain why the parts are sometimes different, like the head.
  22. With modern laser scanners it'd be pretty easy to scan the parts for a 262 or the like, provided you can get it apart (or get a junked one that didn't make QC).
  23. I wouldn't call it a horrible series, but it's certainly mediocre with a non-cohesive and non-rewarding plotline. Not exactly something that screams it's part of a celebration.
