Hmm... good point. Although the one used in VF-X2 also has blue stripes if I remember correctly, which makes sense considering it's a stealth fighter. Then again, the VF-1S has YELLOW stripes Nice website by the way! Regarding the VF-25, I'm curious to know which will be the "surname" (you know, VF-11 Thunderbolt, VF-17 Nightmare...)

Right, and the paint schemes are bound to change. In one of the first Newtypes to feature Macross 7, they showed a comparison of the VF-1J and the VF-17D. It looked like the 17 was going to be the main fighter... and it was all black with white detailing and an inverted color UN Spacy logo.

Apparently, there will be a rerun of Macross on japanese TV... why they'd put Macross 7 before Macross beats me. In the Official Site there is another news bit that I can't understand... something related to Macross 7 and MBS...

I think the 1st box of Mac 7 has been already released ... anybody dared ($$$) to get it?

I've been out of the loop for awhile... What is so special about this DYRL box (other than HD remaster)? Do we know what the bonus features are? I'm more than willing to drop $80 for this set (shipped), but I just want to know what I'm buying. Indeed an October release is very unlikely...

I can picture the Bandai Visual executives saying: "ooook... we STILL don't know when the new series is going to come out SO let's keep the 25th anniversay brand in the public's mind until FEBRUARY 2008... ... THEN we release the whole thing again on Blu-Ray!!!" Anyway, apparently disc 3 in the box set with include the TV ads, the movies from the Sega Saturn game and "news reports". I like that they're including the video-game footage in these releases (even M3 in the Macross 7 box set) but I would have preferred an updated Future Chronicle
