  1. The blog in the Official Site for Macross (http://www.macrossf.com/blog/) has the pics from the valkyrie display in WonderFest ... nice pics, haven't seen them in a higher resolution anywhere else though And... I think the background from the image in the main page has been updated as well
  2. I don't think it'll be bad news for Yamato since they won't be producing the same toys. On the contrary, it'll be good for both yamto and Bandai because the series will complement each other. I, for one, have been waiting for this for a LONG time (after all the changes from 1:55 to 1:65, 1:72, 1:60 and 1:48) Now let's hope we can see the images of the 1:100 series soon! Fortunately these will be way better than the Macross 7 'Micro Macross" line
  3. I'm EXTREMELY happy that they're keeping with the same scale as the Yamato ones... don't know whose idea was that but I bet it was the best decision for both Yamato and Bandai. And regarding the release dates, Bandai isn't usually late with the toys, here's an example: Macross 7 TV: October 1994 1/65 VF-19k: February 1995 (4 months) 1/65 VF-17D/S: June 1995 (8 months) Aquarion TV: April 2005 Aquarion DX Chogokin: September 2005 (5 months) BUT... the prototype in the pic looks at a very early stage. Hopefully that was just something for display and we can expect the first VF-25 around Sept / Oct ... And yes, I also hope they release the VF-171
  4. thx for the heads up! so, the second fighter that's NOT in the Bandai stand IS the DX prototype!
  5. Graham, In the Mac F pic it says: "1:72 scale, puramoderu" then something else... so it looks like those are the plastic models (the fighter version is even using the Bandai stand)
  6. There's a pic of the Minmay figure in the Macross F News thread
  7. Wow So... the model kits for Macross F are 1:72.... I hope the prototypes of the toys were somewhere else
  8. from Collection DX: Lots and lots of Cyclones (or Ride Armor if you’re a Mospeada snob) coming out this year from different manufacturers. Toynami has been showing a larger scale transformable Cyclone for several years now but it has yet to see light of day. Well I can say that a large scale “Masterpiece” version by Toynami is due this summer. What is interesting and new news is Toynami is in negotiations with Beagle to produce the toy together. Beagle would release it in Japan with Toynami releasing it in the States. Both companies are deciding as I write this whether to use Beagle’s design or Toynami’s. George tells us they are very comparable to each other in form and function. But that’s not all on the horizon for Cyclones from Toynami, as you can see from the pictures the smaller scaled Mega House version will be distributed by Toynami here in the states. These will be from the same manufacturing run as the Japanese counterparts but be placed in a repacked box. Nothing will be changed except adding the Toynami logo and changing Japanese to English on the box. We were told we can expect these in the States within weeks.
  9. Here are the official Macross F wallpapers in different sizes so that you don't have to resize them First file is 800x600, second one 1024x768 and third one 1280x1024
  10. Hahahaha thanks anyway deadghost... Maybe you can use... the Karaoke version (sung by fans, no less)!
  11. Hehe right... I was just curious to listen to the ringtone file. Now I guess I'll have to wait for the release of the CD
  12. Here are the products that Cospa will have for display (and sale I guess?):
  13. Release date: May 28th, @ 3,150 yen
  14. According to the update in the official website (and my limited japanese), the booth in Wonderfest this weekend will have: - a diorama with the Valkyries including the VF-0, VF-1, YF-19 and VF-25 (!) - a promotion video for Macross Frontier (there's a mention of a mecha-something) The companies that will be there will have: - a Macross F t-shirt - Cospa will have the Destroid Monster and Battroid t-shirts - Yamato will have the 25th aniv VF-1S and YF-19 (.....) On the events side: - a "talk stage" - a "karaoke stage" I hope someone can do a better translation
  15. I agree, it was one of the main things lacking in Macross 7: original BGM music (not just a rehash of Macross II music)
  16. VERY nice !!!! Congrats!
  17. Something like that... the download link is sent to the e-mail address
  18. I got one of the CM's last week (Stick's), and I like it. But it definitely doesn't feel like a toy. It reminds me A LOT of the transformable 1/12 IMAI model kit but in a toy-ized version (I'd even say they based this toy on that model kit) It IS very fragile, and it appears that it's made just for display purposes (although the plastic coloring contradicts this statement) - note: the """stand""" that it comes with is a piece of sh.... but it looks very nice in the Bandai stands that someone was talking about before (and they're cheap). Let's see how Megahouse's and Beagle's ride armors turn out
  19. After searching and searching, I found the download link to the cell phone tune of "Don't be late", the Macross F song. It's here: https://recochoku.jp/search/Srch?ftgt=mkw&a...p;x=103&y=2 BUT... it's not a direct download link since an e-mail from docomo.ne.jp or ezweb.ne.jp or softbank.ne.jp or d.vodafone.ne.jp is needed hopefully somebody will figure out a way to download this
  20. Couldn't agree more, this is what the 25th anniv YF-19 should've been like!
  21. Hopefully with WonderFestival taking place next week (24th) we'll finally know what Bandai's plans are for Mac F
  22. Hopefully the new issue of HLJ will have mecha pics... maybe even prototypes of the models / toys, since it's the issue for April.
  23. Not because of Harmony Gold... because the February issue of US Newtype will be the last http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-...ase-publication
