  1. That's exactly what I did. I followed the guide posted in this site: http://doodypsp.blogspot.com/
  2. Not really... it IS more complicated than using a Playstation control, but nothing that renders the game unplayable. I found out last weekend that the analog joystick works as the two missing shoulder buttons... If somebody is interested in this game for a modded PSP, PM me and I'll upload somewhere for you Disclaimer: I own the original disc, so this would be like lending the game to someone, right?
  3. Finished mine over the weekend too... used minimum paint (canopy, canopy frame, side sensors, visor) and stickers as well but I ended rubbing off about 3 of them trying to transform it for the first time I hope the DX toy doesn't need as many stickers as this one. Very nice looking kit, I found funny the difference in size of the 3 sets of hands included (the one for the gunpod feels a bit oversized). I'll post pictures later. Graham, did you use the Gundam marker for the "macross screws" as somebody was asking in a previous post?
  4. I found the Macross Frontier Official File 1 in Kinokuniya... and it's not bad at all. Here are some photos (sorry, no scanner @ home).
  5. According to Amazon Japan, it will be in stock again on November 11th
  6. I had the same problem a while ago... and the section that was raised ended up unlocking the whole back part from the canopy. I tried to fix it while in fighter mode but I couldn't fix it. What I ended up doing , and I know this might sound stupid (but it worked for me) was to transform it to Gerwalk then back to Fighter. It was a combination of arm/leg positioning and I think the main culprit was the shoulder cover that was positioned wrongly.
  7. Google Translate: Popular film, "Macross 7" after 14 years from the TV cartoon depicting the world. 2059, and suddenly the ultra-long-distance未知NARU immigrants encounter with the enemy fleet "MAKUROSUFURONTIA". Terran, and the enemy alien creatures in the universe of the unknown was not! Might be a typo (copying the info from Macross 7)... One thing to note... the summaries for each episode in the Official Site (under "Story") are arranged in rows of 7... could be just a coincidence... or not.
  8. I meant latest PSP's as the PSP 2000, not the PSP 3000 that I'm very well aware hasn't been released yet. This is one of many sources: http://my.malloc.us/silverspring/2008/08/0...-ta-088-models/ ... but you can google "TA-088 v3"
  9. I was really hoping that Bandai's "expertise" would make this a decent competition to Yamato's valks... but then again, Bandai has only made 2 transformable toys for Macross EVER. Yes, they issued the 1/55's but the original mold was not theirs. And after 14 years, they're going back to the toys... and they're not going to do as well as I thought. Yamato on the other hand, has been using the trial and error system and it's worked wonders. Yes, they still have some issues but they're getting better with every release. Still I will get the VF-25 becase I like it and who knows when we'll get a new version (like the VF-17 from Mac 7). Hopefully whatever issues the VF-25F comes out with will be fixed for the rest of the line.
  10. That's what many people said about the PS3 and so far... nothing. Still, I hope that's true. BTW, the latest PSP's with the new motherboard haven't been hacked yet... Anyway, there are moddable PSP's still available and most important, the game should be out in a couple of weeks
  11. I remember that the VF-19k shown in the "Macross Fastest LiftOff!" Special had a very nice color and paint, non-traslucent plastic and it even looked bigger (probably 1/55 scale). I was disappointed when I got the actual toy. I hope the history doesn't repeat itself... Additional to the non-removable intake covers, add non-articulated hands and apparently no stand.
  12. I think it all went wrong when they chose the materials for the final product. Since apparently there's nothing much to do at this point in trying to correct this one, maybe they'll follow in Yamato's footsteps and make some adjustments for the remaining ones (VF-25S, VF-25G...) ... and then release the VF-25 v2
  13. Additional information: The upcoming PSP 3000 (to be released in Oct) CAN'T be modded. And apparently the PSP's released lately include a different motherboard that also can't be modded.
  14. Macross F 3 DVD & Blu-ray bonus: 2059 calendar (!) Apparently on one side it's 2059, and on the other 2009
  15. Thanks! I guess we'll have several "unlockable" characters and VFs... the SV-51, VF-11 MAXL, GBP-1S are not even listed in the Official Site
  16. I guess we'll know what's the official version of the head once Bandai releases the 1/100 BTW, I'll check today how the VF-4 looks like in the PS2 game...
  17. THANKS! Sorry, I took the mag home and I don't have a scanner there... but it's nothing new:
  18. Managed to get the Newtype mag today... Damn, I wish I had a bigger scanner
  19. See if you can descramble the images in these captures:
  20. The SHE model had two different heads, why's that? all the battroid line-art I've seen has the one with the simple design.
